Are there interviews all week or just Monday and Tuesday? Did they say you should find out if you got in by the end of the week? Good luck everybody!

I was trying to figure this out as well. I looked at the Union University CRNA class of 2022 facebook page and there are only 15 that have joined. This either means that there are 15 spots left or some of the students that were accepted have not joined the group yet. My theory is that there should be roughly 20 students accepted at this point, depending on the quality of the applicants and the decision of the selection committee. So, the website says they interview approx. 60 and keep 30. There are 3 interview blocks right? So, does this mean that each block interviews approximately 20 applicants and keeps roughly 10 from each block. The last block is coming up and it seems like they will interview 20 applicants and potentially keep 10 students to make up the 30. Does this sound relatively accurate? This is just a theory. I have read one post of a student giving up their spot in the cohort so that mean at least one more person will have the opportunity to be apart of the 2022 class. As far as alternates go, I can't imagine they would take alternates until after all of the applicants have had the opportunity to interview and the selection committee makes the final decision. I was wondering if those that were chosen as alternates could respond so that we can figure out roughly how many alternates have been selected since they will not tell us when we call. I was chosen as an alternate and I am not losing hope for a chance to get into the program. I met up with a couple students when I went for my interview and they said that alternates have been selected for their class. Anyway, let me know your thoughts! Good luck in this journey everybody!

emtjamie, I am sorry to hear that you are giving up your spot, unless it means that you got an offer from another school. In that case, Congratulations! It is good news for people like me though who is an alternate and wanting to get into this school. Good luck to you!

Hey guys! Just checking in! Have any of the alternates heard anything about getting into the program with the 2019 application cohort? Does anybody know if the alternates are looked at again after the last round of interviews take place?

I found out on Monday that I got an alternate spot. I am not giving up hope just yet. I don't know how many are on the alternate list. Somebody said it might be like 10-15 by the end of all the interviews. Is alternate the same as waitlisted? I'm not sure if alternates are ranked according to their interview score or what? I guess I will find out in March after everybody has been interviewed. Best of luck everybody!

Hey guys! So I have been researching affordable housing near Union University and I have found some apartments that are close, but does anybody know about any affordable housing options near campus? For current students, How much are you paying for rent? Is money tight? I was also looking into the graduate married housing on campus. I just wanted to get an idea from current students or those that might be familiar with the area that can help me narrow things down. Any tips will help greatly!!!! Thanks ahead of time!

Mine is on Jan. 7th. I've been stressing so hard to get an interview and now I have to go over interview questions. I have heard that the interview is a more get to know you interview, but this is just what I have read. I am still going to do some CCRN type review and brush up on sedation and pressor meds. How are you guys going to prepare? Any tips?

I also applied for the 2019 cohort and I called the other day and they said if I don't hear from them by next Tuesday to give them a call. I have been checking my email Like crazy. I have read on previous years posts and it looks like some of the applicants that got interviews also got a call from the school in addition to an email. Not sure if that is how it will go this year. Congrats to those who have already been invited for an interview. I still have not heard anything, but hopefully next week I will. I have several friends in the program now and they say that the interview is more like a get to know you interview. I was wondering if it will change now that Excela is moving to a DNP?

hey all, I applied this year too! I was told that the admissions committee meets around September 6th or 7th. We should know if we get an interview by the second week in September, hopefully!
