Union University Accelerated BSN (Germantown Campus) Fall 2015 admission

Hello guys

I am applying to Union University Accelerated BSN program to start Fall 2015. I have open this thread for anyone who is applying, but also for any nursing students that would like to give their input on the class schedule, workload, and clinicals. I have submitted my application to NursingCAS, and I have to retake A&P I & II. Does anybody know if they have accepted students prior to the application deadline? I look forward to hearing from you guys as we go through this exciting yet challenging time of our lives.

hi i have been waiting for a response back from the school. I have only received two emails apologizing for the delay saying the same thing that decisions would be made in May. But congrats on accepting your spot. Hopefully will all here some good news.

So I was told today that I am on the waiting list. Not the news I wanted but I am hopeful to attend this fall. Good luck to everyone and congrats to those who have been accepted.

I have been following this thread even before I got an acceptance in December to start Fall 2015 at Germantown campus. Thank you for being very informative! :) I did have a few questions, if you don't mind.

*Now that it is closer to starting, how did you go about choosing for a private loan since they don't offer much financial aid besides the Stafford Loan? Who did you end up choosing for the private loan?

I had a full scholarship in undergrad when I got my B.S. in Biochemistry so I haven't been through this process of finding an outside lender for a large private school loan before. Super clueless where to start.:down:

*If you applied for a private loan to cover the rest of the cost, how was the process and what was the total amount you had to take out (tuition, books, etc.)? If you started in the Fall, when exactly did you apply for the loan? I haven't received information in the financial breakdown yet, but I am curious since I will have to apply soon.

It is super late at night and these questions are swirling in my brain. I don't know anyone who has been through this program at Union so I figured I'd give it a shot and ask you. :)

When applying I didn't know this was a Christian college. I was wondering how strict they were on attending chapel or if you had to and also if there was a uniform? I've heard some things by word of mouth but wanted to hear it from other fellow nursing students who are in the program or who know about it. Thanks!

Hi newbieRN11! Congrats on the acceptance! I'll be starting the accelerated program Fall 2015 too. I am not sure if there is a requirement for attending chapel. I read parts of the handbook on the website for the Accelerated BSN program and I believe we will order our nursing uniforms from the school. I think I'll just email and ask...lol. I'm not sure, but I want to know too. Once I find out I'll message you back. ☺
