Union University Accelerated BSN (Germantown Campus) Fall 2015 admission

U.S.A. Tennessee

Hello guys

I am applying to Union University Accelerated BSN program to start Fall 2015. I have open this thread for anyone who is applying, but also for any nursing students that would like to give their input on the class schedule, workload, and clinicals. I have submitted my application to NursingCAS, and I have to retake A&P I & II. Does anybody know if they have accepted students prior to the application deadline? I look forward to hearing from you guys as we go through this exciting yet challenging time of our lives.

I'm new to allnurses and found this forum. Thanks for the insight. I just got accepted for Fall 2015 and reading your replies really put me at ease because I'm super nervous and excited at the same time.

I'm in the program right now. I am excited but terrified about January...How would you recommend studying for phram 1? I heard that's one of the toughest courses. Thanks.

Hello Lynne, I was accepted to Union University Germantown for the fall 2015 cohort. I am so excited and super nervous.

Hi everyone! I just submitted (12/31) my application to the Hendersonville campus. Anxious to hear something!

Good luck to us all :)

I applied to the Hendersonville campus in October, but I still haven't heard anything! I talked to admissions in December when I got the email about them pushing back the deadline and they said they hadn't really gone through any applications yet, so I'm nervously waiting!

Hi faiza1891! When did you submit your application? I submitted mine before the first of December and still have not heard anything...

Hi tmhill! I submitted everything in October and my nursingcas was verified Nov. 5th. They will email you once they have received everything for your application file. I got an email from the school Dec. 9th saying they received everything and my file was complete. Then I received another email for acceptance on Dec. 12th. I called to make sure they had everything and wasn't missing anything from me. Have you called admission? I talked to financial today and she said they have been super busy.

Congrats ajpooh6006! We will be in the same cohort for Fall 2015. I'm super nervous but excited! Can't wait to meet you and the rest of our class!

Good luck to everyone! :) I read on other threads from previous Union University nursing classes that the acceptance process can take a while so don't be discouraged and keep checking your emails! :D

I got an email last week stating that they extended the deadline to apply to February 15th and then I read something about March 1st. I'll email a friend I have in the nursing department and see what I can find out.

Hello everyone!

I'm planning on submitting an application to Union myself, but I'm a little worried that my GPA may not be up to snuff. I've got an 3.01 (right within the minimum,), but this year and this past year, I've been earning A's, and that includes Human Anatomy and Physiology I and Microbiology. Do you think this would be enough or could I be waitlisted/declined? Please be wholeheartedly honest! :bag:

Thanks in advance!

Hi Klouis001!

Before I applied, I was worried mine was too low. I had a 3.12 GPA with a Bachelor in Biochemistry. I reread the website and they want a GPA of 3.0 for the last 60 hours of coursework. I didn't catch the "for the last 60 hours of coursework" the first time. After NursingCas calculated my last 60 hours, my GPA ended up being 3.28 which was higher because I did much better my junior and senior year with more A's. I would apply anyway because I think your personal statement and references are weighed in as well. Since you made A's in A&P I and Micro, that also looks good. :) That's my honest opinion. I was also nervous about applying, but I just did it anyways and got accepted. It wouldn't hurt to apply. Be positive and don't be discouraged!
