Union University ABSN Spring 2015

U.S.A. Tennessee

Anyone out there apply for the Spring 2015 ABSN program at Hendersonville? I just finished applying by the august 1st second priority deadline and thought I read somewhere that we wouldn't find out our acceptance until closer to December. Anyone have an idea if this is right? Seems it might be from previous threads that it takes about 3-4 months to get the acceptance email. I'm from Illinois so trying to find a place to live and roommate will be difficult in a month's time if accepted in December.

Thanks!! :)

Hmmm okay. My GPA is lower than that, so I may not be much of a contender anymore.

Don't worry yourself. If you have over a 3.0 then you have a chance… thats their requirement. I saw people who had GPA's lower than mine who got in. Stay positive! Besides they take your personal statement, references, and any previous experience in medical into consideration along with your GPA. When did you apply? I am sending you lots of good wishes and keeping my fingers crossed for you… :)

Okay thanks!! :) I applied just this week because I literally just found out about this program. I just received a confirmation email for my application and I am hoping it doesn't take too long to process. It says 2-4 weeks, but they said that they are delayed right now due to the high volume, so I am hoping that I hear by end of Oct. at the latest!

I heard back in 5 1/2 weeks… but I don't know if thats normal or not.

Hey all!

I am planning to apply to the ABSN at Hendersonville. I just found out about Union and unfortunately I am not going to make the 09/15 application cut-off.

I am wondering if I submit my application at the end of September if they will still consider me for spring term

They may extend the Sept. 15 deadline… last year they did. I would go ahead and apply if you want to. The only thing they can do is reject it because its past the deadline. You don't have to have all the transcripts in yet… you just have to have requested them. You also don't have to have the reference letters in yet. You just have to have requested them. To apply for the spring is a separate application all together so you would have to reapply for the spring under the spring application. Good luck whatever you do! :)

You have been SO helpful! Thank you so much.

I just saw this!! So sorry!!! But the lady I talked to said if you were at an accredited college and not like a technical school then your classes would transfer.

It's been such a crazy week for me!!! And I'm so super nervous about not hearing anything yet! Ahhhh!!!!

Anyone hear anything from Union yet?

No unfortunately I haven't  Hopefully soon enough we all will!

Hey y'all! Just curious how long you guys made your personal statements and if I may ask, what your gpa's were. I made my personal statement one page long since it said "brief" and my gpa for the last 60 semester hours is a 3.2. I'm hoping I have what it takes to get in. Nursing school is so competitive now days it's crazy.
