Union University ABSN Fall 2020

Just got accepted for fall 2020 at the Hendersonville campus! I was wondering if anyone is familiar with the area

I'll be starting in August as well! I'm coming from Boulder, Colorado!

Awesome! Are you going to try to live in Hendersonville or closer to Nashville? Have you ever been to the campus?

@mo1654 I live in Nashville around BNA airport. So, I will be commuting back and forth from Nashville to Hendersonville. I used to live in Hendersonville but I felt where I live now.. is a lot cheaper than Hendersonville. I think the clinicals are held in Summit Regional but I might be wrong.

I attend Union in Hendersonville and will graduate in May. YAY! Union is a great school and the staff is amazing. I live outside of Nashville and have a 40 minute commute. Traffic is not bad since I am going the opposite of rush hour traffic. In the beginning, I used the drive to listen to my lectures that I recorded.

Our first clinical (Foundations and Adult Health 1) was held at Sumner Regional in Gallatin. Things are a little different with the newer cohorts and some clinical groups are at Sumner and others at Hendersonville, and some at Williamson (I think). The rest of our clinical (Psych, Adult Health 2, OB, Peds, Leadership, etc.) were at Vanderbilt and various other hospitals.

You will have plenty of time to complete your package before orientation. They are great about communication and keeping you updated with the required paperwork that is needed.

Can you give some pros and cons about this program and the campus? I have until March 15th to submit my deposit, but I am still debating between Belmont and Union. I am visiting Nashville to visit Belmont on April 2, but I might submit my deposit for Union, and check out both schools. How many students are in your cohort? What is your typical schedule?
