Union University ABSN Fall 2020

Published

Just got accepted for fall 2020 at the Hendersonville campus! I was wondering if anyone is familiar with the area

I also got accepted to Union University Hendersonville Fall 2020 BSNA Program. I am very excited! I am very familiar with the area. I used to live there, but now I live in Nashville. It is a pretty nice area, which includes restaurants, homes and shopping centers. Not sure where you are coming from, but going up to Hendersonville from Nashville is a lot of traffic, especially in the afternoon.. not so much in the morning. I am guessing because a lot of people in the morning are going to Nashville for work.... vice versa in the afternoon for people coming out of work to go home... Rush hour in the afternoon begins around 4.

I was also admitted for Fall 2020 at Hendersonville! Have you guys received any followup emails after you submitted your deposit? Does anyone know when the program begins?

So excited to meet you all!

I applied to Fall 2020 in Hendersonville and waiting to hear back. How long did it take for you all to hear a decision?

Kaitlin,

I have not heard anything. I had spoke to someone that once you are accepted... the coordinator will get in contact with you before the program. They will send a packet through your email stating that you will need to complete the following requirements:

-Current CPR certification (Must be American Heart Association, Healthcare Provider)

-Physical exam form & immunization record

-Clear urine drug screen

-Clear criminal background check

-Mandatory orientation will be required 1-2 weeks before classes begin

It is on the website. One thing, I am not sure is when do they email the packet that will list all those requirements beforehand.... I hope that when they do send it.. it will give us time to complete it.

Thanks Emily! Yes that sounds right, like you said, just hoping we have sufficient time to get that all done before orientation begins. I was told that classes will begin August 18, and then orientation will be held the week prior so I’m sure anytime this summer would be plenty sufficient to get that list done ? Looking forward to meeting you all!

Mo1654,

I had finished my application in early June and a week later my application was under review. I had found out that I was accepted in late August.

Kaitlin,

Your welcome! You just gave me the best news! I did not know that we started August 18th! Looking forward in meeting you as well! ?

Of course ? I’m so excited!

I’m debating between Belmont and Union. Does anyone have any advice?

Haley,

I was once debating between Union and Belmont. I picked Union due to the fact of the adult studies program that is offered at the university. When I had applied back in Dec 2017, I was already 24 years old, just graduated with my AA in pre-nursing April 2017, moved from Miami, FL to Hendersonville, TN, and lastly, I am a mother of two daughters who were at the time 2 and 3 years old. As you can see, my life is very hectic, so I did my research on both programs to see what was best for me and my girls. I had called Belmont to get information and called to schedule a possible walk in to see how I feel about it in person... But even though, I had called Belmont to make an arrangement... I went to visit Union first and I felt really comfortable at Union. The fact I was going to be in adult studies, I knew that Union was going to be understanding and helpful towards my hectic life and I was right. I never gave Belmont the opportunity nor met with any of their advisers after going to Union. I was very right with my intuition and very happy about my decision with Union. I just graduated with my bachelors of science in healthcare management with honors this past December. While doing that I was being a mom, pregnant with a third child, working 40+ hours and handling other personal matters that was going around in my life. With trials and tribulations, God help me through it all and Union helped me move forward with my education and helped me get even closer to my faith and with God. Honestly, it is a preference and Union was the best for me and my family basically. I would do all your research on both schools, do walks in, talk to people... and most importantly, do what make you feel happy, comfortable and secure. ?

I was accepted to the Fall 2020 Hendersonville BSNA program but still debating between Union and a couple other schools. I'll be coming from San Diego and I'm not familiar with the area at all. Does anyone know if most students live in Hendersonville or are most people commuting from the greater Nashville area? I'm just wondering where I should be looking at for housing. I'd be moving by myself and would be looking for a roommate or two! Also does anyone know where clinicals are held? Thank you!
