Union University ABSN Fall 2017

Hi everyone! I recently applied to all three campuses of Union University for the ABSN program beginning in fall of 2017. I would love to hear from some other people that have applied; I'm very excited and hope we hear some information soon!

Hi everyone! My name is Ashley, and I just found out yesterday that I have been accepted into the Fall cohort at Germantown! Is there a Facebook group for this? It'd be cool to find a potential roommate from here

Awesome! Congrats to you too :) I'll be coming from Murfreesboro, TN so it's like 4 hours away. What about you guys? My biggest concern is safety...I read reviews of apartments that mentioned people getting robbed at gunpoint :/ I'm just wondering if it's as sketchy living around there as some make it sound? Although I heard Germantown was a great part of Memphis....

Also- what's the best way to exchange contact info through here?

Congratulations Ashley, When did you turn all your information in and verified by NursingCas? I just want to know the turn around time!

Thanks!! It was pretty quick- it took a matter of a couple days. But I think that is in part due to having submitted my transcripts early on before submitting my entire application. It took about a week or so for those to get verified and I had no corrections to make regarding the manual transcript entry. So that part of my app was completed by the time I submitted it and probably made the turn around time a snap. So it should be pretty quick for you if all of your references have submitted their LORs and if your transcript entries match your transcripts :)

Everything was summited and verified on the 10th, so I am just playing the waiting game now! Did you have to wait long to hear from Shannon was it longer than 2 weeks after everything was verified?

Chief1913 I work full-time too. Good to know about CPR! I haven't paid my deposit so didn't get that memo. Have you taken other pre-reqs? I'm planning on taking Micro and Stats during summer.

tolufaj I know waiting sucks. I waited a month not knowing what was happening. I don't think Union is a racist school. All professors/staff I've met at Germantown campus were friendly and polite. I'm not white but I was accepted. When I went to their "ABSN Preview Day" back in October, there were African American students. I hope you hear good news soon :)

How were you notified of the preview day?
