Welcome to the forum! It's a great place to learn about nursing and has helped me tremendously!!

1.) I applied to USF (starting May 2008) and UCF (starting Aug 2008) for their upper-division BSN programs and was accepted to both :yeah:

2.) College GPA: 3.88

3.) Pre-Rec GPA: 3.94

4.) No, I finished 3 years as a communications major and then switched to nursing.

I know that I didn't apply to an accelerated BSN program, but I figure that maybe my info. will still apply to you somewhat. Good luck to you :)

FSUGrad06, welcome to Allnurses!

I went to UF for my B.S.

I don't feel comfortable sharing my GPA, but let's just say I met the requirements. :)

I did not work in the health care field previously, but I had volunteer experience in high school and about a year at UF. I got to work in the ER, a daycare center, and a little bit of central supply during HS, and I got to work with a lactation consultant and in the NICU at UF. Really enjoyed the latter experiences. I also had some health issues in high school, so I got a lot of exposure to health care on the patient side of things. Those issues also fueled my passion for health & medicine.

Good luck with your applications!
