Hi! Anyone else applying to UNF's traditional program this fall? TEAS scores? GPA?
UNF is my first choice - I just got into UCF's program, but I have to make a decision by April 15!
what do you mean lmclauchlin, about the "670 cutt off"? how do you figure that out exactly?
thank you!
I spoke with the lady at UNF who answers admissions questions and she told me the point cutoff for interviews for the summer class. I remember the total being in between 660 and 690. I don't remember specifically and I just checked and it doesn't look like I wrote it down. This number is your prereq gpa X's 100 and the teas total.
Here is the info from the UNF website concerning interview selection...
Test items typically cover content from grades 10 - 12 in U.S. high schools. The TEAS composite score (Math, Science, Reading Comprehension, English) will comprise one half (1/2) of the points toward interview selection. Each section is worth a maximum of 100 points (100%) for a total TEAS score maximum of 400. The remaining 50% of the interview selection score will come from the applicant's prerequisite GPA (originally to 2 decimal places) multiplied by 100; the maxima prerequisite GPA score is 400. Note that candidates must have both overall and prerequisite GPAs of no less than 2.90 for admission consideration, regardless of one's TEAS score. There is currently no minimum score on the TEAS for admission consideration at UNF.
The combined, overall score from the TEAS and prerequisite GPA will rank candidates for interview selection. Note that not all applicants are selected for interview.

my prereq gpa is 3.6, but i took apII, chem, lifespan and stats this semester. so it's going to go up, down, or stay about the same. got an A in lifespan, an A in stats, at least a B in anatomy but it might be an A with his curve. don't know about chem yet...
i got a 77 on the teas, which sucks.
i really want to stay at UNF, but i am applying to FSCJ just in case.
i heard someone with a 3.7 and decent teas scores never got an interview, so that doesn't make me feel too confident.

Oh ok thanks! When I multiply it by 4, it came out about 2 points lower - not a big deal, but hey, I'll take as many points as I can get! lol
