UNF FALL 2019

Published

Hello everyone, I know this is a little early but wanted to start this because May 1st will be here before we know it! My prerequisite GPA will be 3.71 if I end up getting an A in Microbiology. I took the TEAS and got a 320 (first time) and I feel like both my GPA and TEAS are low. I will be taking the TEAS again because competitive is 335-345!! Please feel free to share your stats!!

Thanks that would be great since I’m gonna be going alone.

My GPA a 3.57 and I haven't taken the TEAS test yet. Any advice on it?

Definitely use the yellow book! I think it's from mometrix. I also used a ton of teas apps. I think the apps were the most helpful once i was done learning the material and they were just used as review.

I did buy another practice test booklet which is the 5 teas practice inside and it’s the McGraw Hill third edition. I’ve read the reviews on Amazon that the questions from the book are exactly like the ones on the TEAS. I did buy a used version of the momentrix book only for the notes but the book is the TEAS V version.

I think you should be fine, especially if the book has good reviews like that! Take all five practice exams. Use one to figure out what your weaknesses are and then study the material you don’t know the most. Also for English, I would use khan academy on YouTube for extra help. Actually khan academy is great for the other topics too!

Thanks! I’m just worried rn because of my gpa. I have 3 B’s and 5 A’s

You're not alone! Some of my friends got in with your GPA but they also scored on the higher in with the TEAS. The avg GPA is 3.6 so you're not too far off and at the end, it counts 14% of your whole evaluation (60 credits 1%, TEAS 35%, and Interview 50%). I am such a bad test taker and was told that my GPA (3.71) is above avg but my TEAS is just avg (320). If you do get invited into the interview, that's where you sell yourself and that alone can get you in vs someone who has the best scores but still gets denied. It is also hard to pinpoint what admission really wants, so we have to go in with confidence. You got this! I'm retaking TEAS next week before the deadline in two weeks! Time is flying faster and deadlines are becoming more stressful LOL Good luck

Thanks for the advice! Good luck on your test! ?

My TEAS test is tomorrow and I haven't been doing well on the practice tests idk what else to do.

Idk if I’m responding too late but I say try to do the apps I saw some questions from a few apps on my teas teas. It’s quick and you can practice some problem before your test. Or make a playlist of short YouTube clips and watch/listen to those. Good luck!

I didn’t do so well on the TEAS sadly. I just messaged Beth saying I’ll apply for summer 2020
