UNF Fall 2011 RPL Applicants

I've applied for the RPL summer 2011 program, but i will also be applying for the fall program just incase i don't get selected the first time around. I have pretty competitive scores so i am confident i will get invited in for an interview, but that is only half the battle.

HM2- Well so long as you are confident in your choice to become a nurse, I am sure you will do fine in the interview. I would imagine the purpose of the interview is to weed through those simply looking for a decent paycheck.

Congrats on your scores! I am pretty confident in my chances as well. Just a waiting game now. When do you hear back regarding the Summer term? I know it is soon. **crosses fingers** :)

I've worked in the medical field in various aspects (EMT, Combat Medic, Surgical Technologist, etc.) for alittle over 7 years, so this is definitely my calling. I just hope that i'm able to communicate that effectively and confidently enough in the interview.

We are supposed to find out in mid-feb whether or not we are invited to the March 11th interview.

I will apply for fall as well if I don't get accepted this summer. Do you know if we have to pay another application fee and go through everything again?

I recall reading that the TEAS V score is good for a few years.....thank goodness. It seems like summer may be more competitive....maybe because of all the accelerated applicants?

I am not sure if it's the accelerated program or just the fact that many people, like yourself, prefer to have the following semester as a backup. I would have applied if my prerequisites would be finished in time but no such luck. I am not positive so I would check with admissions, but I would assume that you would have to pay a new application fee for each application. Anytime they have to process something, you will be paying for the processing. Sorry! If you get in, however, it will be worth it so no worries. I wouldn't apply until after March or April though because you should know by then whether you were accepted in Summer and the deadline for Fall isn't until May. Hey Kali,

Nah i won't be attending the info session in March. I don't live anywhere near Jacksonville and I can't take off from school... boo! :down: lol Are you attending it? If so you'll have to keep me posted about what they have to say. I'm super nervous about this whole waiting business hopefully classes will keep my mind occupied. lol Do you know when we'll find out if we got in or not? :)

I am also apply for the nursing fall 2011. I am soo nervous about it! But if worst comes to worst I'm gonna go to FSCJ then do RN to BSN at UNF. Cause I am going to be a nurse!

That's great! I am excited to begin meeting more people who are applying for the Fall semester. Especially since the Summer board is probably going to be moving on in their adventures! Don't be nervous, either way you will surely find a path that suits you, right? Congratulations in your decision to become a nurse. I hope your as excited about it as I am. Best of luck!
