UNF Fall 2014 Hopefuls

Hi Everyone.

Thought I would go ahead and get this thread started for those of us applying to the UNF FALL 2014 cohort.

Deadline is May 1!

Where is everyone in the process?

I was wait-listed. I have mixed feelings. Do any of you know anyone who was admitted and may be considering other programs? I was also accepted to JU and I have to give them an answer by Friday but UNF is by far my 1st choice. I can't recall what Beth said right before the interview about how many might get called off the wait-list... If any of you have an idea can you respond please? I'm just analyzing this decision to death right now :/

I don't remember the specifics...but I do remember her saying wait listed students very commonly end up being accepted! Both of the current students in my group had actually been wait listed :) I think she'll post the stats on the FB page sometime this week.

OMG !!! I GOT ADMIT!!! I litterally just screamed. YAYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!! Summer was just not the right time, time to start planning to move to Jacksonville!!! OMG! ahhh, can't wait to meet all of you!!! :D

When I was wait listed I was so excited, then bummed, then excited again. It is a terrible limbo, but in my experience it is short lived. Best of luck to you!! I would advise you to stick close to your phone :)

Thanks for the encouragement Hellonurse2B. I've stalked the threads and for fall I'm calculated it may be 3-5 get called up. It's so weird though how there are not many people posting this semester. I was so very impressed with UNF when I visited and while I was researching the school prior. I feel it's where I belong, I think I might forgo my other offer to JU and pray that I get called. If not I'll be applying in the summer. If anyone hears anything please post... I'm desperate for any info :/

Idk...I was wait listed for the summer applications and never got that call. Thank goodness I was accepted to another school. Hard to say if you'll get the call ya know.

Personally I would accept JU, and then if you do get a call then you can always back-out. But that is just me personally - I would want to start asap. But if you know that UNF is where you belong then wait for the call, and if not apply for summer!

Thanks VeeRose, I sure wish the phone would just ring.... I'm really happy for all of you though. Especially you, I read through the previous threads and you're a trooper! You totally deserve to be in this cohort! Great job for sticking to it :)

OH YAY!!! And yes I stuck to it, even though it was a blow not being accepted the first time. But I loved everyone I met so far and really do believe that I was meant to be in this cohort!!! Welcome Troubadour!!
