UNF Fall 2014 Hopefuls

Published

Hi Everyone.

Thought I would go ahead and get this thread started for those of us applying to the UNF FALL 2014 cohort.

Deadline is May 1!

Where is everyone in the process?

Thank you HellooNurse2b, zoubisoubisou, and ALM15! I'm trying my best to stay calm about it all. Lol. I've found some great lists of question ideas to help prepare myself :) If any other applicants would like them, I would be happy to email them to help with your preparation as well! Does anyone know how available parking is right next to the building (believe it's garage 38) in the mornings? I'm in the first group, so hoping it won't be too awful!

Get there early to park! I got there an hour and a half early and practiced my interview questions in the car.

Hey how did everyone's interview go? I know personally, I was much more prepared and had a much better experience this time around, still really nervous for Monday!

I think mine went alright :) I felt like one of the interviewers was looking at me with an extremely confused face every time I spoke...Hahaha. Really hoping she wasn't! I wish I had prepared a little more, because I think I was probably the least organized of my group. But, what's done is done! :)

I hope you all are feeling super happy that is over with!! I'm hoping to be there for your first day of Taking Flight! Good luck and make sure to check your MyWings! My fingers are crossed for all of you. You got it this time, Vee!!!

How were interviews today!?! Did you find that the students helped you feel at ease? What questions did they ask in the interview!? We can obsess with you over the weekend :)

Flchick- I'm sure everyone feels that way though. Like everyone says you feel crazy inside and then everyone looks so calm, but really everyone feels that way. I bet you did good! And thaaank you HelloNurse ;) I sure hope so!!! Everyone in my group this time really did all work together on the answers and we all made sure everyone had a chance to go first and what not. I reallly really hope everyone from my group gets in, they said bc of cancellations that we had about a 50% chance of admittance this time around, so I hope the odds are forever in OUR favor(and everyone else on this forum I didn't get to meet yet haha)

sunbaby- the students definitely helped my nerves. I know at least in the 10:30 group before we split into our smaller groups that there were some awkward silences, but the once there was less pressure everything felt right.

I felt the questions were a little more complex this time

1. Why are you a good candidate for this program?

2. What is your idea of integrity?

3. What qualities do you think a nurse needs to have in order to be successful in other health care settings outside of the hospital?

4. What qualities would you want in a nurse if you were sick and in the hospital?

Those are great questions! Thanks for sharing!! I think I may have met you, Vee. What group were you in? I'm so glad it went well!! I will stalk you guys to see how the decisions shake out!! Fingers crossed!!

I was in group 3 I believe, I had Ivana and some other guy (sorry I couldn't remember his name) but they were both super nice and comforting. Where where you??!?!?! Thanks, I'm trying to stay optimistic. I had my hair up and was wearing a black suit this time with white shoes and a black and white blouse. :)

Group three for 10:30 lol
