Anybody else out there applying for UNF for the fall?? Less than a month left to get all of the paperwork in order. I'm so afraid of missing something!! I think all I have left to do is submit my summer schedule and my spring expected grade papers from the classes I'm taking now. Pre-reqs (nearly) done, TEAS taken, supplemental app submitted.....
Hadn't seen a post yet for the fall, so I figured I'd start and see if anybody out there was sitting on their hands, waiting for May!!
From the Facebook page:
Good morning! We are pleased to announce that our fall 2013 BSN decisions have all been issued. Here is the data from Friday's interview!
102 invited to interview; 14 declined/cancelled; 4 no showed; 84 interviewed
44 mailed admission offers (1 seat to make a cohort of 45 already reserved)
16 mailed waiting list notices (we do not reveal rank or score; we based this list on a logical cut in the ranks)
24 mailed denial notices (we do not reveal rank or score)
Data for those admitted:
Average Interview: 386
Average TEAS: 342
Average Prereq GPA: 3.76
Data for those waitlisted:
Average Interview: 344
Average TEAS: 329
Average Prereq GPA: 3.76
Data for those denied:
Average Interview: 218
Average TEAS: 329
Average Prereq GPA: 3.84
The admission formula is as follows: 50% interview score; 35% TEAS score; 15% prereq GPA; 1% limited access preference (given to those with a degree or at least 50% of their college education obtained at a FL public institution). As you can see, the interview and TEAS scores for those offered admission were higher than the other two groups.
Omg!!!! Mine says admit!!!!!!! *faint*
Congrats Sunybaby! I checked back to see if you got in - but I knew you would!! :)
Congrats to everyone else who got in. If you are wait-listed don't give up hope A lot of people in the summer cohort came from the wait list - and all quality people.
Be ready to be BUSY!!! The ride is insane but totally worth it.
I actually already completed my CPR course. I had to be CPR certified before applying to FSCJ (which was my back up school in case I didn't get into UNF). The CPR course I took is a bit more expensive than most but I also got First Aid Certified. I figured I might as well kill 2 birds with one stone. I don't think First Aid Certification is a requirement of any program but I thought I'd just go ahead and get it done just in case I need it somewhere down the line. Here's the link if you'd like more info. It cost me $60 for both vs. $40 for each. Paramedics, Nurses and EMS educators teach you the latest life saving skills
