  1. I got my acceptance letter from FSCJ today but I'm probably going to decline my seat to attend UNF. I'm not sure if FSCJ has a waiting list but I will call them on Monday to let them know that I decline my seat. I hope someone on the waitlist gets to take advantage of the opportunity at FSCJ. Congrats to everyone!
  2. Hi strial14, I got into UNF for the fall but I didn't not prepare for my interview at all. I think that most people might think I'm crazy for that but I feel like the interview should just be like you are having a casual conversation with a friend. I knew that if I prepared for the interview I would be myself. I think it's easy to be yourself when your answer just flows and is coming from you rather than what you prepared ahead of time. I hope this helps and good luck to you!
  3. I actually already completed my CPR course. I had to be CPR certified before applying to FSCJ (which was my back up school in case I didn't get into UNF). The CPR course I took is a bit more expensive than most but I also got First Aid Certified. I figured I might as well kill 2 birds with one stone. I don't think First Aid Certification is a requirement of any program but I thought I'd just go ahead and get it done just in case I need it somewhere down the line. Here's the link if you'd like more info. It cost me $60 for both vs. $40 for each. Paramedics, Nurses and EMS educators teach you the latest life saving skills
  4. Hi dimov13, she said she would be back next Monday (July 1st).
  5. Hi All - Mine says admit! I was in 10:30am group 3. Did anyone else from my group get accepted? I'm not sure if any of you are even on this forum but I'm wishing for the best for you!
  6. Mine still says Departmental Refer. I'm probably going to seem so crazy when I say this but I have been checking the status online all weekend just hoping to see a change. I hope we get to find out something by noon! I don't know how much longer I can wait!
  7. Hi Everyone, I scored almost a perfect score (99th percentile) on the science portion of the NAT. I am planning on tutoring a few students who have shown interest in being tutored by me. If anyone else is interested, please let me know and post your email address and I will provide you with details.
  8. Hi Everyone! I'm sure I saw you all today but I could not remember anyone's names and it's hard to put a name with a face you've never seen. I thought the overall interview process was really easy but I felt like they couldn't really get an overall picture of who am I based on the questions they asked. I guess I was expecting more questions pertaining to the past and how I have become who I am and how that ties into nursing and etc. Ah well, best of luck to everyone and I hopefully we will all get to meet each other formally, in August!
  9. Hi Jessica Youmans, please post your email address and I will shoot you an email with all the details I provided nenepoppz. Thanks, Mya
  10. Nenepoppz - Hahaha I'm so sorry for the confusion. I have my interview for Nursing school at UNF tomorrow so all I have been thinking about is everything and anything pertaining to UNF. I applied to FSCJ's Nursing program too which is why I took the NAT. Hopefully, I get in somewhere! The TEAS V is so much more difficult than the NAT so I can definitely help with the NAT!
  11. My apologies. I called the test TEAS V. The TEAS V is the test you have to take for UNF Nursing. The NAT is for FSCJ. I can tutor for both but the NAT was the test that I scored in the 99th percentile for the INS section. If anyone else is interested in tutoring, please let me know.
  12. Hi Nenepoppz. I have done science tutoring for a longggg time. I got almost a perfect score on the INS portion of the TEAS V. I don't mind tutoring you if you are interested in something like that. Let me know if you're interested and we can exchange information.
  13. Does anyone know how long it takes for FSCJ to get back to you on admission or denial? I was so mad because their website said application deadline was June 1st but when I visited the campus the paperwork they handed me said the application deadline is April 1st. So I rushed and got my application in by April 1st, only to be told that they extended the deadline to June 1st since that's what their website says and it is not fair to those who thought the deadline was June 1st. Then when I called to find out when we should hear from them they said 8 weeks from the application deadline! Eight weeks from June 1st is AUGUST... pretty close to when school starts. Anyone have any idea when we will hear back from them? I am assuming they told me 8 weeks so that people wouldn't keep bothering them.
  14. Hi all- Yes, dimov13, my name is Mya. What is your name? Bg13, what is your name? It looks like we are all interviewing together.
  15. Hi All - I just got my interview invitation. You should check your email if you have not already done so! Best of luck to everyone. My interview is on 10:30 on June 21st. I hope to see you all there!
