I figured I'd start a topic for UNF since I haven't seen a thread yet and the summer 2018 application dates are coming up soon.
Hey I am applying for fall 2018 and was wondering how did you study for your teas test ? And any tips on scoring a high score?!
Watch the videos from Crash Course on YouTube. That's how I studied for the science. Buy the yellow study book; its practice exams are very helpful. I also bought the practice exams online from ATI-version A and B. I just did A LOT of practice exams and would study almost every day for 2 months. I got an 86.7. My first try I think I got a 77.
Hi, I'm applying at UNF for the fall entry BSN. My pre-req GPA is currently a 4.0 with Human Growth to add this semester, and my TEAS is 88.9. I have an AA degree from another state, but it doesn't count at UNF. So even though I have 12hrs in English and advanced writing classes, I will have to take their ENC 1143 to be considered for the fall entry. Anyone else have something strange like this?
If they wouldn't transfer your AA as a whole, then it's not really strange because then you are bound by their specific general education requirements.
I'd just try to figure out why they won't take your AA and see if it's something you can fix. Because I haven't taken ENC1143 (though ENC1101 or 1102, which I took, may be the equivalent?), and I don't have any requirement for taking it.

My studying was fairly similar to ashep94's. I also used Mometrix's study guide. I only bought Practice Test B from ATI for practice, but did do a bunch of free online practice tests. I used two of the TEAS phone apps that have practice questions on them and watched Crash Course A&P some. I used Khan Academy for areas I knew I really needed to review since Khan Academy goes into a good amount of detail.
For me, one of the things that helped was making a list of areas I knew I was weaker in, adding to the list whenever I ran into something that I missed on a practice test, so that I knew exactly what I needed to review and what videos I should watch. If I had a random thought that I didn't quite know all the functions of the liver, I'd jot it down so I wouldn't forget. Otherwise, I wrote down exactly what each organ system did in a simple list and what each organ itself does to help clarify the information.
Also, know your hormones! Know what they do and where they are secreted from.
I took Comp I & II, Creative Writing and Introduction to British Literature. Apparently, if you're not transferring into the school with an AA from a Florida institution, then most likely you've never taken ENC 1143. The advisor said it's not offered anywhere else, and they require it. Anyways, I thought it was strange, but I plan to take it over the summer.
I didn't apply to UWF just because they don't have an accelerated version. I figured if I bombed this UNF interview and don't get in, I would look into applying there for fall since I really did enjoy going to UWF, and their campus is nice. But apparently their fall deadline for apps was the 5th.
