UNF BSN 2018

Published

I figured I'd start a topic for UNF since I haven't seen a thread yet and the summer 2018 application dates are coming up soon.

Oh I should be good then. Reading some of the comments from people who studied for months, took it 4 times, and still only got 70's had me a bit worried.

I think the difficulty comes out of the broadness of the science rather than the level of detail. But I always have been fairly good at tests, so I only had to take it once.

Just know your grammar rules, especially the tricky subject-verb cases like collective nouns.

I just got my decision email, guys, so go check.

I got accepted to the accelerated program!

Emails are out!!! I got accepted for regular BSN !

Congrats to you as well! I'm excited for orientation.

I also got into the accelerated program this summer! I can't wait to meet you in a few weeks! :)

Are we suppose to create our Facebook group or does the program do that?

When I sent Dr. Dibble my acceptance, she sent me a link to the SON Facebook page. I'm not sure if that's the same Facebook as our future nursing cohort, however. I'm sure they'll let us know once we get in the groove of things!

For those who got into the accelerated what were your gpa's And Teas scores?!

I'm not sure. I was assuming the program did it since all the students mentioned that we'd have our own FB groups per cohort. It looks like the group that Beth invited us to is a different one just for everyone in total to connect and be welcome (since it was called like 2017 SON Wagon of Welcome before she updated it to 2018). I imagine there will be a group for those in RPL and those in APL.

@ Jasminen21

My pre-req GPA was 4.0 with one prereq currently in progress, and my TEAS was 96%. However, the previous stats I saw suggested the average for APL for the TEAS was around 90% for acceptance. I haven't seen any official stats for those accepted this time around yet.

My prerequisite GPA was a 3.74 & my TEAS was 95.1 (382 composite). Congratulations @idkmybffjill. That is the highest TEAS score I've seen so far! Also, thanks for the heads up. I don't currently have a Facebook so I haven't looked into it yet. If you find out anything, please let me know. I'm planning to make an account soon because how crucial it will be for our cohort

Thanks. I was slightly shocked I actually got that high. I have seen some people on the site mentioning getting like a 98% on it, and I can't imagine.

Beth did post a link to info on signing up for the Student Nurses Association (I'm trying to figure out if I want to wait to sign up so that I won't have to renew the membership until later on), but that's the only thing so far other than introductions and pet pictures. I would definitely create a simple FB account though just to keep up with everything. I barely use mine myself. I can't remember the last time I actually made any type of status.

I wonder if the cohort FB groups will be made when Dr. Bloom sends out the orientation info.
