Anyone starting at UNE in May 2014?
Thanks for the information. It wasn't presented quite that dramatic to me when I interviewed but it was addressed that there were going to be changes as far as clinical sites go. I guess those are some of the changes. Even the information about the DNP is new. Truth is I interveiwed back in November so some time has passed. I may have also missed some of the information I remember feeling pretty overwhelmed, it was the first place I interviewed for CRNA school. Best of luck to you, Spoiled1, I do remember them telling me that even last year someone on the wait list got in 2-3 weeks before school started. ccme1989, looking forward to starting class soon.
Yup! Making the drive from Durham. It's not terrible, I've done it about 10 times already!
What 10 times already?!?!? Wow! Do you do it all in one day? I was planning to do it over a day and a half. The moving companies and flights are $$$$! It'll be WAY cheaper to drive it...Do you already have a place to live? I just secured a roommate. It's starting to feel official!

No worries on the PM....My background is critical care nursing. I found out yesterday that I am waitlisted for now. We were told that they admit quite a few from the waitlist so I'm not giving up yet. I'll prepare to attend just in case I get the call. The program director is excellent. She told me she was contemplating adding seats to the class, but there wouldn't be enough clinical sites for everyone. I feel as though they really care about the success of their students. I was impressed overall. They're hoping to get the DNP in place so that this class (our class) can start taking courses in their second year. Also be prepared to rotate out to clinical sites. They emphasized that in our interview. You've got to be flexible and willing to travel for clinicals.(Florida,NC,etc) They're making everyone rotate to 2 CRNA only hospitals. You'll also be at your primary site less too. Anyway it's still very exciting. I'll let you know if I get a spot!
