I had to have a sympathectomy to restore bloodflow to my left hand. From the top of my head to underneath my breast on the left side won't sweat at all anymore. I'm not advocating this procedure though it is done for the purpose you speak of.
I know there are superduper antiperspirants that your doctor can prescribe. I worked with a guy that had the same problem, one of the ER docs wrote him an Rx.
My niece had hyperhidrosis (sp?) of the hands. She had surgery to correct it (not sure what it was, this was over 10 years ago). This was in the days before Botox.
Until you can get to the doc, have you tried underarm shields to protect your clothes? These used to be available when I was a kid (my mom used them in the summer). Don't know if they are still around.
hey, I was almost in the same situation as you are except that I had experienced uncontrollable sweating under both armpits. THE ONLY thing that worked for me is Hypercare 20 % solution that was prescribed by my doc. In fact, after I use it for about a month, I can do without it for several weeks.
I haven't tried Botox, though.
Good luck. May it be the worst problem ever in your life.

Sorry in advance if this is not the place to be talking about something like this, but here it goes.
Ever since I hit puberty I have had a problem with excessive sweating of my right armpit. Nothing I have tried has worked. I have spent hundreds of dollars on 'Clinical Strength' antiperspirant and various deodorants, but NOTHING has worked :angryfire! I even tried some home remedies like "rub underarms with apple cider vinegar at night, then apply deodorant in the morning", baby powder, antifungal powders/sprays/ointments....again nothing.
Not only is this problem embarrassing beyond belief, but it ruins everything I wear! I have a white 'spot' in the right armpit of every scrub top and shirt I own, and there is nothing I can do to get the stain out!
I feel as though I am at a loss.
Before someone asks; No, I have not seen a doctor about this yet. I was hoping to get it handled on my own.
Any suggestions would be great, thanks in advance!
