UNC ABSN 2015

Hey, all! Since today is the day the ABSN application closes for UNC, I figured I would start a thread so we could see who else applied. I graduated in May from NC State with a bachelor's in public relations. I took my prerequisite science courses at State (since I decided I wanted to pursue nursing late into my Junior year) and finished out my degree. I've been working at UNC hospitals as a CNA since I graduated. Waiting until August is going to drive me nuts! Is anyone else applying to other programs? As far as January start dates go I think only Duke has sent out acceptances, but I didn't apply there. Hope to hear from some of you and go through the wait together!

If anyone who was accepted is interested in starting a Facebook group so we can more easily communicate, let me know! I think I have to add someone as a friend in order to create a new one. Also, if anyone is in the market for a roommate I will be moving to Chapel Hill in December. Not sure exactly when or where, but I would love to live with one or two people from the program.

I am looking for a roommate also. Although I am on the wait list, I am taking a chance and gong ahead and trying to get some of the logistics out of the way so IF I do get in, I will not be rushed to move and get all of my ducks in a row before starting. Totally understand if you are not interested because I am not in yet I totally understand. But would love to get rent/utilities down, and would love to live in a house rather than an apartment.

Hey everyone!

I got my letter of acceptance in the mail on Friday! I am trying to decide between UNC and University of Miami (I live in California so either school is a big move for me). Does anybody know when we will get financial aid packages? This will be a pretty big factor in my decision seeing as I will be paying out of state tuition. I plan on calling the financial aid office tomorrow but was just wondering if anyone had any information. Congrats to everyone who was accepted!

Hey everyone! I just got my acceptance letter yesterday! I'm so excited to start. I'm coming from out of state so I definitely am looking for a place to live at a reasonable price. Do we have a facebook page up yet?

I am not sure if there is a facebook created yet or not but I have started looking into apartments and wanted to see if anyone was looking for roommates? I would love to live with other ABSN students!

I am looking for roommates! I'm not sure if you have heard from anyone else but would love to talk to you more about it! I plan on moving in December as well..still not sure exactly when or where like you said! You may have already linked up with a few other people but if not let me know!

I tried searching for a Facebook group but I believe I only found one for the graduating class for 2015.

Has anyone gotten letters already but their portal still says their application decision has not been made?
