UMSON Spring 2024 Direct entry MSN

Hi everyone 

Has anyone applied for Spring 2024 at UMSON? Will like to know if anyone heard back from them for Spring 2024 or if anyone have a timeline of when we should hear back from them?

Hi, everyone!  I applied in August and my application is still showing "completed" and has not yet changed to "committee review".  What was your undergraduate major and what are some of your stats?  Did anyone apply for regular admission instead of priority?

Hello, 

I applied priority and got accepted a few weeks ago so I'm not sure about the regular admission timeline. My undergrad was in Biology, I graduated in 2014, and I did OK. My prereqs were all As except for an A- in Chem. Hope you hear something soon.

Yeah I got accepted last month. Super excited. 
 

just need to pas general chemistry and is really difficult

I know the feeling, you got this!. Stoichiometry was the devil to me and I had the bright idea of taking Chem at the same time I took A&P II. To top it off they were self-taught courses with no lecture or anything. Would not do that again. I just applied last week after procrastinating all Summer. My nerves were getting the best of me. I don't expect to hear anything back for a long while.

Not yet. I am still twiddling my thumbs LOL. I submitted mines on the last day of early decision (7/15).

Congratulations on getting in those of you! I am hoping to apply for Spring right now since they have rolling admissions still LOL so fingers crossed? Question do you think I should wait and retake Chem? I have a D in that course but an A in the remaining prerequisites

I got A's and B's in everything except for gen chem, so wondering if I should retake or just go for it still LOL

Most schools don't accept transfer grades lower than a C. If I were in your shoes and wanted to apply for Spring 2024 I would enroll in Chemistry ASAP so they know it's in progress while you're applying. It just needs to be completed before you enroll in courses at UMSON. Did you take the Chem course through a community college? I got a C in A&P II through Rio Salado. I'm retaking it with Portage to apply at JHU.

I took the course through my university. Thanks for the insight! I'm going to get right on it
