It's a torture to put us through this the entire wkend

I was thinking today would be the day. It's 6pm I have checked SURF the entire day and nothing. It's 6pm now and my weekend is going to be bad.

My class at shady grove has at least 65-67 people in it, so there should still be room for you guys :)

Unfortunately, if you applied for usg, and the spots fill up, they can't give you a spot in baltimore. At least that's what I know from my understanding.

Keep your heads up, guys! I went through the same anxious-filled waiting period, checking surfs at least 2-3 times a day till I saw that provisional admit.

After I saw the post from yesterday I was really hoping to hear bck today. I logged into SURF atleast 20 times today. Now I'm just so stressed out, frustrated, anxious, heart broken, hopeless....I'm feeling everything right now. I can't believe I have to feel this way the entire weekend.

Congrats! Ugh they are torturing us. I can't believe they didn't get everyone today. I was hoping to hear back today.

don't feel bad, please note that I'm an rn to bsn student, so maybe thats why i got mines earlier , I'm sure you guys will hear back soon.

This is about to be a long long weekend. All the what if's that's on my mind is driving me up the wall.

This hurts so bad. It's pure torture. I can't function at all. Especially today I had my hopes up that I'll hear bck.

I hope not too many people applied and we all get accepted.

Same! Now we don't even know how many have been accepted this time and how many have applied. This is nerve racking. All these thoughts are going through my head: why haven't they looked at mine yet; what of my gpa is too low. I'm trying really hard to be optimistic. Since our status is still committee ready than we still have a chance...

I've been checking SURFS at least 4 times a day since receiving the email that UMSON is releasing decisions. I think it's complete crap that the committee had over 2 months to review our application and they are taking 3 weeks to release the decisions. What about those who need to reply to other schools? Not to mention the pure agony of knowing some have been notified and not me. I was really hoping to get a decision by the end of this week...now I'm starting to lose hope. It would make sense that they would notify those who have been accepted first, then the waitlisters then the rejected. So as each day passes, I'm thinking my chances are decreasing.

For those that have been accepted, are you students at UoM or transfer students? I think they would give priority to those who are already undergrads at UoM than transfers...correct me if I am wrong.

I'm not really sure. I applied for the accelerated program. I heard that they give priority to rn to bsn students. They take too long. And since they know it's decision time they should work on Saturday to look at everyone's application. They should give decisions only when all decisions (accepted) have been reached. Knowing that someone else already got it but I'm still waiting is giving me anxiety. Like I need to know soon so I can submit my loan awards and things for another school. UMSON is my first choice but they just need to get it together.

I'm in my first semester, so I had to go through what you guys are going through now. Be patient, and just hope for the best. I know all the waiting is very tortuous, but if you guys are honestly getting furious and impatient, oh dear nursing school is not for you. I understand being upset that things are slow, but seriously BE PATIENT.

I didn't hear/see my admission til the very end of April when I applied in February. One of my friends didn't hear till the end of May.

Also, I honestly don't think being a transfer student or already having a bachelor's degree has anything with prioritizing admissions.

If you guys are anxious, focus your energy on other things, like maybe start looking for/applying for scholarships, that's what I did. Even if you don't get in, at least now you know where and how you can get financial aid.

Please don't worry so much. Go out and treat yo self. :nurse:
