UMSON Fall 2015

Published

REMINDER!!! The deadline to submit your Fall application is nearing. As of now, the deadline has not changed from February 2 (short of 4 weeks away).

This is my second time applying--I was wait listed for the Spring term. Currently, I am studying to take my TEAS exam again on January 27th. This exam was the only portion of my application I was not confident in. I scored a 70% without refreshing my memory on key concepts by studying before hand. I did find the test to be a "you either no it or you don't" kind of thing so from personal experience--STUDY!

I have no outstanding prerequisites and my sciences are as follows:

AP1. -- B

AP2. -- A

CHEM -- B

MICRO -- A

I had the privilege of chatting with the last group of students and found this forum to be quite helpful! Please use this post as a way of communicating, sharing experiences, and giving advice. Hopefully, we will be classmates in the Fall!:)

@pinkeagle has you application status changed?

Hey MiMi3! I am a new member here, but will be starting in the Fall 2015 semester. I was originally a Spring 15 admit, but was able to defer for a Fall start. If you or anyone has any questions about my application or grades etc. Please feel free to let me know. I can say that the TEAS is not as important as people make it out to be; I only scored a 79.6 and was accepted and it was the first and only application. I think the board is looking at the whole person with a focus on LORs, GPA (especially Science), and essays. The resume is a portion, but many applicants might not have any work experience, much less medical experience.

Hey, everyone I applied to the BSN DNP program as well, family nurse practitioner track. I am committee ready and anxiously waiting for interview hopefully good luck everybody!! :)

When a CNL applicant is committee ready and or is scheduled an interview could you please share the news?

I've been doing well with the waiting game until now. I'm starting to freak out a bit.

Thanks!

Hi blessednurs. Welcome to the waiting game. Lol. Honestly at this point I feel like I won't get invited for an interview(because psych has their interviews first). So I'm working on accepting it and moving on. I don't plan on moving away for grad school, I'll just reapply next year. But good luck and just to give myself a little hope and all the bsn dnp applicants, my coworker who was accepted last year received an interview invitation the day before they started.

AGHHH!!!!!!! when are we going to hear back for the traditional BSN program? I wanna know soooooo badlyyyy!! :D:D

Nover,

i can assure you that you will not hear anything back this week--it's Spring Break! í ½í¸Š
