Am I in the wrong place?? I would think that there would be a lot of chatter with the deadline being tomorrow!
I am sure there are oodles applying. Now...where is everyone?!
You'll get a letter with a form that you fill out if you're accepting, declining, or requesting deferment. When you send that back, send in your deposit (or you can pay the deposit online).
Apple- congrats on getting in! I remember you applying last semester. I'm happy you got in! If I were you, I'd call the admissions office about the deposit because you're out of the country. The deposit is due within a very short period of time and it would really suck if you didn't get your letter in time.
As for the CPR, go ahead and take the class when you can but don't stress about it. I know there were still a few people in my class who didn't have their CPR cards turned in when the semester started. That's not to say that you can take your time on getting it- but don't stress about getting that ASAP.
I'M SO EXCITED, I GOT IN!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU JESUS!!!!!!!. I checked my application status this morning and it said DECISION MADE-ADMIT-INSTITUTION. After my interview, my interviewer said it would be 2-3 weeks til I will know something. I was on cloud 9. I also called the school to confirm and she told me congratulations. She was in the process of calling all the admitted students. So congratulations to all who got in and will be attending. See you soon!
I am sorry that I have not been able to post for a while, but I have not stopped thinking about you all out there.
For those of you whose status is Rejected, I am so sorry. You should know that the competition for fall 2012 was really fierce. Spring applicant numbers are usually less than fall, which should make it less competitive just from sheer numbers. I encourage you to apply again for spring and see if there is anything you can do to make your application more attractive - get some healthcare experience, re-work your essay, and make sure you ace any courses you have remaining. For instance, if you are taking one of the sciences now, the admissions committee did not see your grade for fall but they will for spring applications. An A will really help. Also, ours is not the only nursing program - there are plenty of others to consider.
For the rest of you, it is not over until it is over. As calls are made, some admitted students may have just accepted an offer from another school which will open a spot which will be filled from someone in your status. If the deposit and letter of intent is not received by the school during the next two weeks, an attempt will be made to contact that person to determine if they really intend to enroll. If not, another spot opens. I can pretty much guarantee that some of the Waitlisted WILL be admitted. I am sorry you will still have to wait but there is still a chance for you. Best of luck!!
For those of you who have been admitted CONGRATULATIONS!! You have earned it! Welcome to your new adventure!
