  1. Hi! I just graduated from Shady Grove. To answer your question - it is really, really difficult to complete the program without a car. Our classes were on the Shady Grove campus, and our clinicals ranged from Shady Grove Adventist to Suburban to Holy Cross to UMMC to Sheppard Pratt to Children's. As of now, the only two options for pediatric clinical are UMMC and Children's. That being said, you could try and schedule your clinicals to get sites you could access with public transportation - everyone registers at the same time though, and there is absolutely no guarantee you will get what you want. I would strongly, strongly recommend having a car. Hope that helps!
  2. Grey Lady, Do you know if it matters what color stethoscope we get as long as it's a Classic II SE? Also, I know the scrubs have to be white tops and khaki bottoms, but does it matter what kind? Thanks!!
  3. I applied to Shady Grove and my status hasn't changed yet...
  4. not me... still says committee ready. just thinking positively i suppose!
  5. I haven't registered yet, but I also think I'm going to do it through the Red Cross. Has anyone taken it?
  6. I also volunteered at Holy Cross Hospital. I do not have a CNA, but I was given an assignment on a med/surg floor that was all patient contact. Like oldmare said, though, it is a long drive from Baltimore.
  7. I am also applying to UMB Shady Grove for fall, and am also terrified I won't get in. I don't know how I'm going to make it 8 - 10 weeks!
