  1. Hi,* I'm considering all branches of the military to start my nursing career after nursing school. Can anyone shed any light on the quality of life as an navy nurse? How is living on a ship being the minority and do u feel safe? I'm interested in becoming a critical care nurse.* Thanks in advance

  3. When you say do not live on the other side of MLK...which direction is that? east, west, north or south? Thanks for helping me
  4. Thanks all, This is a very stressful and enduring process. Did anyone live in a house with other individuals that you did not know? And how was it?
  5. No Karebear, I have not found a place to live. This is really stressing me out! I have a friend from undergrad that is from Baltimore and he said the area around the school is not the best It is more of a up and coming area. He proposed Towson, Owings Mills areas since they are close to the train. His worries were not able to drive within the city if it were to snow and the streets aren't plowed. Have you had any luck? Sorry it took me so long to respond; but I just so happen to finally comes across this post.
  6. Are you coming from out of state as well? I tried the listings the school provided but so many of those listings have disconnected telephone numbers. A couple of them only wanted short term stays...which was not stated. And some are already taken. I don't know how I feel about living in a coed boarding home. I do have family that live in the DC suburbs; but that is a good 30-40 minute commute I do not care to make. I would not mind rooming with another CNL student if it means to live closer to campus. PM me if your interested...I'm all set to relocate Aug 18th.
  7. I am relocating to the Baltimore area to attend the Univ of MD SON and I need an affordable place to live. Does anyone need a roommate or know how I can go about looking up private listings? Need help to remove this undue stress! Thanks!
  8. I'm interested in a student nursing position. I will be starting the CNL program this Fall. What program did you graduate from?
  9. Thank you so much for the information. I absolutely love NorCal and I will be looking in that area for jobs after finishing school.
  10. Hi GreyLady, Are CNL student scrubs the same color as the BSN students? White top and Khaki bottoms? I looked at the bookstore to price out my uniform and it looked as if the tops have patches on them. Can the patches be bought separately? Thank you, Sommer
  11. I'M SO EXCITED, I GOT IN!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU JESUS!!!!!!!. I checked my application status this morning and it said DECISION MADE-ADMIT-INSTITUTION. After my interview, my interviewer said it would be 2-3 weeks til I will know something. I was on cloud 9. I also called the school to confirm and she told me congratulations. She was in the process of calling all the admitted students. So congratulations to all who got in and will be attending. See you soon!

  15. Hello everyone! I am so excited that now the 1st part of the waiting game is over. I got an interview as well. I feel so relieved. I called the school 2x. What I don't understand is why does the admissions process take so long. I am out of state and one lady told me that admissions letters will go out in May...this will only give me 2+ months to find a place to live and hope that I get enough scholarships to pay my tuition. Sorry I found this post so late. But I did read on another posts and someone stated that they ask general questions like "why do you want to be a nurse?". Hope this helps. If anyone have their interview next week, please share with the rest of us. I would really appreciate it...and so will every one else. I am so nervous. thanks in advance
