UMSON CNL Spring 2017

Hey everyone!

Just got confirmation that my application is complete and ready to roll for the UMD CNL Spring 2017 application term. Anyone else on here applying?

I am going to wear slacks, a brightly colored shirt, and a blazer as well. I am not feeling the blazer because it's July, but we need to look very professional.

I also saw a lot of people knowing if they were accepted just a few days after their interview. I hope we find out very soon!

I checked my application on Sunday and saw that I was committee ready. I got the email invitation on Tuesday.

to the ones that got interviews, how did you do on your writing piece? mine wasn't very long. :/

I managed to squeeze out 5 short paragraphs. It seemed as if the big thing was showing that you know how to write a proper essay, etc. My wording at the end kind of sucked because I started to panick and rush at the 2 minute mark.

I didn't even see a timer. I didn't happen to look to see when I started either. So that caused my anxiety to reach a max. I didn't write five paragraphs. I wrote three. Mine was about 200 words. I did answer the question and give a personal experience. So we will see. When is your interview, @cardiacstimulant?

I already had mine today. I thought it went well. The timer was in the lower right hand side and you should've also gotten a 2 minute warning. Writing a good essay is extremely hard for me to do in 30 minutes, but I think I winged it pretty well. I felt like the interview went well but its really anyones guess. The program director was very upfront and honest and also very nice which I really liked.
