It's getting about that time. Who else is applying?

Where are you moving from? I will be coming from California. I have no clue on where to live, etc.

I got my letter the day after they sent it out, but I live in Baltimore.

I'm going to the orientation on July 23rd. I am out of town the week before for my last vacation before school starts.

I am thinking about the 23rd also for orientation, I hope we can all meet up.

Did you guys register for classes yet?

I have tried but the website keeps telling me that I can't register online.

I did! I'm in group B for the NURS 505 lab. Did you fill out the 'Approval to Register' form? You have to do that before you can register online, and beware the save button doesn't work if you have a mac. I had to save as PDF and email to registration.

Yup. I'm all registered here also. I don't know what group I"m in for lab. I know it's the Monday/Wednesday one. I ordered most of my books from Amazon.com and I must say, it's a little intimidating. Can anyone log onto Blackboard? Mine says I'm not registered for any classes. I'd really like to see the syllabi.

Anyone else doing the 16th month program and taking Systems and Populations? There's NO text for it which I find interesting.

I'm currently registered for the 21 month program, but am seriously considering doing the 16 month. For the first semester it's only one extra class, and I know I can drop back later if I need to, but I really want to do well this time around. I don't know what to do! NURS 507 doesn't have a text listed yet either. Try half.com for books too, I've been finding some cheaper there (even with shipping).

Intimidating and exciting at the same time!! I have met with two first semester students to buy books, they were both so friendly and helpful! They said not to be intimidated or stressed over the summer reading, they skimmed and did just fine. Of course I'll read it anyway, but it makes me feel better knowing that...

Don't know where all of y'all are coming from, but I live in Georgia and flying up to and booking a hotel for orientation is not cheap! As I'm on a budget, I am thinking about only attending the June and August orientations, and just skipping the July one...even though it is "highly" recommended. Is this a terrible idea?? As an out-of-stater, I find the orientation dates to be inconvenient; would've preferred it to be 3 consecutive days in August when most of us will be in Baltimore...

Yeah, I will miss the first orientation because I have a trip planned from last year and tickets have been bought, but I will be there for the July and August orientations.

For those of you who are moving from out of town, there is a house in my neighborhood that will be coming on the market. My neighborhood is mostly either retired couples or young couples. Not a lot of "partying" or anything like that. Relatively quiet and safe. Near a hospital and 3 major bus lines as well.

It's a 3 BR 1 bathroom row-home that will be ~$1300-$1500 a month. If there are 3 of you, that's only $500 a month per person. Built in study buddies, car pool, etc. If anyone is interested, shoot me a PM and I can give you the area it's in and the owner's phone number if you're really interested.

Classes haven't even begun and we got an email about the first test.... ::gulp::
