UMSON BSN Spring 2014

Hi everyone! I created the BSN Fall 2013 topic, but I couldn't apply at that time due to family issues. So now I'm applying for Spring 2014! Anyone else applying? :]

I know how you all feel! I've found that I know the dates better now since I'm mentally counting down until November! I'm wishing all of us the best! I also applied to CCBC and got in, so I'm hoping that UMSON makes their decision before the last possible day. :/

like everyone here, I keep saying to myself I won't check but somehow I find myself looking up UMSON for information then I go to SIMS to see if my status has changed. Most likely I am going to turn CCBC down and pay the set fee for Towson. I really want a Bachelors for the same amount of time. Plus we sit for the same exam. But either way we all need back ups. :oldman::eek:

I wish I would have applied to another BSN school. Just in case. Good news though. CCBC offers a way to get BSN through Towson. Sounds like it takes an extra year, but I'll find out at the information session they are hosting on nov 4 and 6 for sure.

Congrats Jackie and fcbeth, you at least have a back up. I applied only to UMSON. Finger crossed!!! We've left only a few days to hear back. I'm so so ....nervous. I finally found myself eating too much. :yes:

@fcbeth_00 looks like I'll be seeing you at that information session as well! I was wondering if you knew whether we would be taking classes at both CCBC and Towson if we were to apply for that program or if all 32 credits for our BSN would be held until the end of the two year RN program?

Nsmu I only applied to UMSON as well. I figured go big or go home. I'm hoping on 'go big' lol

Has UMSON announced when they will inform decisions? I was under the impression it would be the first week of November. Anyone know if there's a chance we'll find out in October?

The umson rep that was there for transfer day at my CC said it could be as early as the end of October. Previously application cycles have found out throughout the month of november, so that's what I've been going off of. I can't help but wonder if fewer students applied this cycle, with the deadline pushed back and one of the least active AllNurses forum in ages. Purely speculation of course, but that may be the case.

This nervous feeling is rather contagious. It just sucks that all of the other schools have already made their decisions, but my number one pick has yet to make any move towards a decision. But good news all! One of my friends has an interview today for the masters program at UMSON, so it should be soon that we hear something, probably after the slew of interviews from the other programs. Let's keep our spirits up!

We've the same principle. I can't take other Nursing Schools over UMSON that is

why I did not apply anywhere other than UMSON. I've been eager to start my classes at UMSON, and I'm soooo...nervous to know their decision.
