UMSON BSN FALL 2017

I know the app isn't up yet but I was wondering if anyone was planning to apply.

Hey Guys,

I just wanted to share something that a first year student said at the open house.

He said that out of the 100 seats available at the Baltimore campus, he was one of the only 7 males in the whole class.

Just something to think about...

@Frenchfry1313 Those are great stats.... I can't believe you were rejected rather than wait listed. Don't give up! There are always other schools and always other semesters to keep applying. You're right - it doesn't reflect any of us. All we can do is keep pushing through and try not to stress over the things beyond our control. We will all get there when we were meant to get there.

UMSON was my first and only choice. I'd rather reapply and get rejected/wait listed a second time than to accept anywhere else the first time, so I knew the risk I was taking. I will be reapplying to UMSON and a plethora of other schools for the spring semester.

Overall GPA: 3.44

Science GPA: 3.25

TEAS: 82%

I've worked previously as a CNA for a year.

I have my CNA, GNA, and CCMA. I'm also CPR and first-aid certified.

I am currently finishing nutrition.

I believe I had strong recommendations and essays.

Anybody here for the RN to BS or RN to MS? I hear it's a rolling admission. I have not applied yet. I just discovered I need nutrition and I believe 1 elective so I don't know if I can still apply for the Fall semester and take those at a community college this summer. Any input @Grey Lady?

They said the waitlist can last until the day before class start in August.

GPA: 3.25

Science GPA: 3.0

TEAS: 73.3%

Taking Nutrition, Ethics, Women's Health and Chem 106 now to finish my prerequisites. Have all A's in Nutrition, Ethics, and Health. I should finish with a B in Chem. Have 3 years experience working as a CNA GNA. Got rejected from Towson but accepted into Carroll Community where I'm taking my Prerequisites.

Has anyone's letter arrived yet?

Yes I received my letter in the mail yesterday. Super excited about starting the nursing program this Fall. GOODLUCk to everyone still waiting to hear from UM, hang in there and Congrats to those who got accepted cant wait to meet y'all.
