I know the app isn't up yet but I was wondering if anyone was planning to apply.
I've been committee ready since February too. I did see that Grey Lady said that, but I don't think my chances of being pulled off are good after comparing my stats to previous years.
Overall prerequisite GPA: 3.6
Science: 2.75 (most likely what did it for me); I got a C in chemistry at umbc, but I repeated because I was Pre Med at the time. Yay
TEAS: 90 (98th percentile); 100% on science section.
I had good recommendations.
Good amount of volunteering (animal rescue, so unrelated). I'm starting to volunteer at a hospital this summer. I also had 60 hrs of shadowing.
I thought my resume was pretty diverse.
Currently taking A&p 2, stats, nutrition and English II so a lot of pending classes
I got rejected with all my prerequisites done
3.6 gpa
3.8 science
88 on teas
one year as a full time cna in a dementia unit. Volunteered for 3 years in a crisis center and 5 years in a feeding program to deliver food to those with aids, cancer and other health related disabilities.
Great letters from a science professor and a social science professor.
you win some you lose some. And in the end if this is what you want you keep trying and don't lose that drive! It doesn't reflect any of us.
to all those who got in CONGRATS AND GO GET EM! Those waitlisted, fingers crossed and don't stop trying! We will all get there

I'm very sorry to hear the bad news, I was surprised with how much volunteer experince you've accumulated throughout the years, as well as your high TEAS score. I hope you have any back up schools you're still considering?

I am sorry to hear that. I am surprised that they rejected you with a very good stat. At least you try.
I'm sorry. I hope you got into other schools. I deferred mine so I could apply again for UMSON. This is also my top choice. If at first you don't succeed try try again.

Gray lady said they pull from wait list around 10 to 15 percent. At least not flat reject. Do you mind share your stat?
