UMDNJ accelerated nursing program, Spring 2008 application

Does anyone know how long the response takes ? I applied early (to make the Sept 1, 2007, early consideration deadline) and was told that letters would go out "sometime in October".

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Being that I am not a city girl I'm slightly concerned about UMDNJ being in Newark. Do you feel safe when you leave class to walk to your car? Are you ever there after dark?

I have applied for the Fall admission also and have not heard anything back from them also. Did you complete all of your pre-reqs?

I also applied for the fall semster and I completed all my pre reqs. I still have not heard back from them. What kind oF GPA did you guys who applied to the fall semester have?

I spoke with Angy this morning over at UMDNJ. She told me that they are currently looking at the summer 08 applications. They will not start processing Fall apps till May/June. My gpa is a 3.2 for undergrad.....a little over 3.5 for pre-reqs

Hey, thanks for replying! I asked because I was reading these boards yesterday and I saw alot of people saying that they had these super high GPA's and it made me think that acclerated nursing programs might be more difficult to get into then I thought. I currently have about a 3.2 but I hope to raise it to a 3.3 by the time I graduate. Anyway I hope you will post back when you get an answer from UMDNJ.

You have GOT to be kidding me! I am getting frustrated because I am graduating in May and want to know where I am going by then. Great- one more thing to stress over during finals.

I am a graduate of the program. Be prepared to kiss everything good bye for 16 months, but it is well worth it.

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of GPA did you have for your first degree? I applied for fall 2008, and I am just trying to see what my chances of getting in are.
