UMDNJ Accelerated BSN Summer 2013

U.S.A. New Jersey

Published

Hey everyone, is anyone in the process of applying or have already applied to UMDNJ's ABSN program for the summer of 2013? It would be great to hear what applicants thought about the application process. Thanks!

I received my acceptance letter for Stratford yesterday !! I'm happy =)

Now, I am trying to figure out where to get a physical examination and up to date vaccinations for a reasonable price since I no longer have health insurance. Any suggestions?? I live in Camden county, by the way?

Hi everyone! Congrats to those that got in!

I applied to Stratford on the 9th and I know it was a little late but I

Would really love to go to umdnj! Unfortunately my application is still waiting to be verified.

I was wondering how long did it take for your applications to be verified and when did you guys submit it?

Thanks

I was verified the 14th of January, about two weeks after requesting my transcripts, and they asked for a copy of my BLS the 24th of January. Good luck =)

I paid for my physical out of pocket which was $65, and it was like $25 for each vaccine I needed (at my physician). However, the bloodwork is INSANELY expensive, so shop around. I think my estimate for the hep b titers was like $425, so i waited until my school insurance kicked in which almost got me into a lot of trouble haha. Also, I know the camden county health dept. Offers some free vaccines, but not all of the ones i needed were offered and it might be hard to get an appointment. Walgreens also does some, but theyre pricey.

I know there's a free Saturday clinic for physicals in Camden run the med students so I was going to try to go to that. Also, I found some other clinics that use a sliding scale but the they haven't returned my calls yet. I'm pretty up to date with vaccines except that Hep B,the 2ND chicken pox shot, and PPD.But omg, why the hell is it so expensive!!!! That's funny because I was actually going to try and wait until the insurance started to get everything done.

My application was verified on 1/18 and I heard back on 2/23. I guess about 5 weeks or so. Good Luck!

Has anyone received the welcome packet with the orientation date and teas info for Stratford?

Not yet. Maybe once they receive your deposit?

Hi guys I got my package from Newark earlier this week. By any chance could someone tell me how long the NALC program lasts?

Ok so clearly I did not read the whole flyer.lol thanks anyway

Any1 starting this summer from the NYC area?

Hey dessiATC:

The school buildings were all that I saw as I visited on a Saturday, so I couldn't really form my opinion of the school since it's really the campus community that makes a school great. I plan on going again tomorrow morning as I need to drop off my tuition deposit & criminal background paperwork since somehow umdnj did not receive my docs when I mailed them out 2 weeks ago and tomorrow's the last day that I have to notify them of my decision.:/.

I'm also hoping to meet a current student! That would be so helpful.
