Hello!!
Did anyone apply yet? I submitted my application and documents in, but NursingCAS is a bit annoying. I had to call them several times about them claiming to not receive all the pages from my references How are you guys making out with the process?
PA program is 26 months long. Almost same prerequisites as well as BSN programs. first year is lectures and second year will be clinical. Very intense program to get in there and hard to complete the program itself!!! But we all know that, BSN programs are very intense too. I think it is best way to go for me, because short term and right after school you are able to find a job and if you would you can continue to online MSN, NP or CRNA programs. What is your background? do u have previous health care experience?
yes the program is intensive but i wanted it this way. It saves me time. I was in the BSn program in Felician College but it was still going to take me 3 and half years after i finished my prereqs. So i got my bachelors in general sciences and here I am ready for ABSN. I work in a hospital as a nursing assistant in a cardiac and ICU unit. (hopefully it helps in the school's decision) I have been there 2 years now.The manager there is very happy with me, so I have a job ready when I graduate. Hopefully everything goes smothly.
Sooo I finally called UMDNJ today and thank God I did! Turns out they did receive everything but my CPR card which I mailed back in August. On top of that, they need the sylllabi of the A&P courses I took because of how it appears on my transcript. I have to fax it, and then wait for a confirmation email. So my day will be spent tracking down my professors from years ago to see if they can email me a copy. Ugh...
