Hi everyone! Is there anyone who can provide information on the Accelerated BSN program at UMDNJ? I would like to know how durable is the program- the good, the bad and the ugly. What GPA is required for admission and how soon does one have to apply? Thanks- any info would be appreciated:chuckle
Hello!
This is goodtobenurse! I have several things to ask you.. please help me out!!
What should I bring for the TEAS test? Someone said I need a student ID and a parking permit.
I got confused on the student ID. Are they talking about actual UMDNJ student ID card or just knowing the student ID number? Also I heard that I can purchase a daily parking permit for a day. And Where should I park?
Do you know which building I suppose to find?
I live far away from Newark. So, I don't want to trip twice.
Could you clarify for me?
Thank you!!

You need your UMDNJ ID as well as your A#. A parking permit is not mandatory. There are people in my cohort who hasn't bought a parking permit and don't plan on buying one. They park on the street but you have to watch the sign for days of street cleaning (if you choose not to buy parking). If you buy a parking pass you can park anywhere that says Staff and Student parking. Don't park in spots that says "Guaranteed Parking" in some of those lots.
To purchase the parking. On Bergen Street there is a section of trailers. I think it's trailer #5. Someone correct me if I got the number wrong. It's to the back. Once you ring the bell and someone lets you in, make a left and walk pass the I.D. office (located on right) and go around the sign for parking will be on the left.
You're testing is most likely at the S. Bergen Building, Floor 10. The SON utilizes floor 10 & 11.
I checked with our nursing student recruiter in Newark and here is her answer. Good luck with your application and and feel free to contact Mae directly with future questions about the program in Newark...."All applicants need to apply to either the full time accelerated BSN program or to the part time BSN program. They cannot apply to both at once and they also need to select one campus (Newark or Stratford)."
Hope this helps,
Mae

Hey Zyrasmom: I was trying to avoid shipping it. Aren't you at the Stratford campus? I'm on Newark.
The semester is winding down and I'm done with Informatics. I know they are also changing some books for the new semester, so I would need to know what books you all need to see if we had it.
