UMD CNL FALL 2018

Hi guys! I know it's a little early... but just wanted to start a thread for those who are applying to the UMD CNL program for fall of 2018. I just submitted my application!

I interviewed on April 4. The person who interviewed me kept mentioning the wait list but of course would not disclose whether we were interviewing for wait list spots. At the moment I am still committee ready :-/

I interviewed late as well. I am also waitlisted. The only information I received was that the waitlist applicants are ranked and the list is about 15 to 30 ppl depending. Let's keep hope either way I'll be applying again for spring 2019 just In case a seat doesn't open for me

I was also wait listed. I emailed admissions to ask when we may know more about being taken off the wait list and they said that it could be up until the day before classes start.

Those who have been admitted - What is the deadline for officially accepting your placement and paying the deposit? I think that will help me in knowing when to make a decision about other schools.

I was also waitlisted. I am going to email the admissions office, but does anyone know if we can stay on the waitlist but also apply for spring 2019 as well? I applied late for the fall so I don't want to apply late again!!

Yep you can apply for spring and still stay on the waitlist! I spoke with Mia today about that and reapplied. I was able to request all of my documents to be reused and because its my first time on the waitlist the application fee is waived for reapplying. If you're offered admission into the fall, they'll cancel your spring application. She said they won't start reviewing the spring applications until June

Hi everyone,

I was given a deadline to accept or decline by tomorrow, 04/20/18. I think the deadlines to accept/decline varied because in my letter, they gave me 14 calendar days to give them a decision. I wanted to let you know that I declined my spot, and that a spot has been opened up. I really liked the CNL program, but after much thinking and consideration of pros and cons, I decided to go elsewhere.

I wanted to wish good luck to all of you. To those accepted and going to the CNL program, congrats! To those on the wait list, don't lose hope! I was on a couple wait lists too. To those denied, do not give up! Things happen for a reason. You will a find school that is meant for you!

Ugh, I got rejected :\, called Mia, was told the committee thought my app was excellent except for low GPA. Sigh, #hauntedByThePast

Oh well, congrats everyone! I've reapplied for Spring 2019, hope to see you all then!
