After a lot of thinking, I decided to decline my offer of admission to UMDSON. (I will be going to Hopkins!) Best of luck to everyone waiting, and those on the waitlist, there's now another space open! We are all going to be amazing nurses!

Hi All,

I have decided not to attend either the UMSON or Georgetown University. At this point in my life/career I think it's best to take the most financially practical route. Thus, I've decided to do the Nursing program at my local community college.

Thank you! It was a tough decision, because I was obviously super excited and honored to be accepted to two such wonderful programs. In the end, one of the things that decided the matter for me was how much I felt like I "clicked" with the Hopkins students and professors during both the open house back in the fall and then again (especially) at the accepted students' day in early March. It just felt like a good fit for me. The other is that Hopkins has a reputation for having a more global outlook/emphasis (maybe partly because of their School of Public Health?) and I think I would like to be able to work overseas someday.

I had such a hard time with the online pay! I had to select all on the digital receipt, save it as a document, and then attach it as a file. Took me about 4 times to finish the process. My link worked, it was just a big pain in the butt!!

Any more update for people who are waiting to hear back?

I called this morning, I got told to check SURF on this Wednesday or Thursday to check for the decision.

They told me that they have released some decision 2 weeks ago as well.

Hey there - I'm still waiting over here too! Thanks for the update, I've called/email probably 3 or 4 times already so I didn't want to call again haha. Let's hope we hear something soon!

According to the woman who interviewed me, today was the last day for interviews (although when they contacted me, they gave me the option of interviewing tomorrow, so maybe she was mistaken). She kept mentioning the wait list, so I am guessing a lot of people from today will be wait listed :-/ She did say that 8 people from the wait list last year were ultimately accepted into the program. Anyone on the wait list who does not get accepted for Fall 2018 will have some sort of priority for the next cycle. They will accept 54-56 students according to however many clinical placements they can secure. Final decisions will be made by the end of this month, but those of you who interviewed earlier may hear sooner. Good luck everyone!

Gotcha - so are you calling today? I was thinking of calling. Still haven't heard anything, and not sure I can wait until the end of April to find out, as I need to make decisions regarding other things asap.
