UMB 2010 Fall Applicants (BSN and CNL)

Ok guys, this is the new thread for everyone who is applying to the UMB FALL 2010, BSN or CNL Program . Good luck to all.

Has everyone's status gone: Complete Ready for Review?

Does anyone know how to find out your position on the waitlist? Do they have a certain order in which they accept waitlisted students?

Just curious because with my luck I am probably on the bottom of the list...:uhoh3:

I am waitlisted for CNL too as of May 3rd. Hoping for good news or at least an acceptance to the spring 2011 would rather have fall 2010 but I will take whatever they can give me at this point!

I was told that if a waitlisted student does not get in for fall 2010, then their app will automatically be reviewed again for spring 2011. No need to reapply and pay the app fee again.

The letter that I got in the mail today said that the app would be automatically reviewed, but Mr. Jon Risser was actually the one who told me that there was no need to resubmit a new app or pay the app fee again.

I just finished my first semester and we had a lot of waitlisters... so my point is... don't give up hope... it really just comes down to money... I had a friend who got in with me at UMB for the Spring 2010 start and she ended up going to our local RN program for money's sake.... good luck and if you guys have any questions.... ask me or make sure you ask tons of questions at open house and or orientation.

I really hope that the fact that there were a lot of wait list people in your group will work in my favor. I really want to be there in August!!!!!!

I second that!!!:up: I have a plan B in the works, but I really want to start this fall!

I have a plan B too it involves getting my phlebotomy certification by oct and getting my foot in the door as a tech somewhere and then hoping the best for the spring. I just really want to get started in the fall because my boyfriend and I need me to get through this so I can be happy with my career and we can start planning our wedding after. It sucks making a decision on a career after completing another degree and not do anything with it.

Sounds like you got in!! You can call Admissions & check with them.

FYI: I wasn't officially wait listed (I mean, my status never changed from "Committee Ready" to "wait listed", & I never received a letter in the mail) & I didn't receive my acceptance package for CNL until LAST WEEK. But, I'm in!! And so excited!!!! I sent off my confirmation form + deposit last week & am now waiting until I'm in the computer system to register for classes.
