UMASS Worcester - GEP 2021

Hello,

Anybody applying to the DNP program GEP at UMASS, Worcester, hoping to start next year 2021??

I will appreciate the experiences of others and tips on how to sail through the interview! Thank you.

Is there anyone who has been accepted for admission to the AC-AGNP program? Or on the Waitlist?

Congrats! Are you planning to enroll? I am debating about this program over some other similar ones I was accepted to.

Hello all! I was told another batch of applicants (including me!) was being notified of decisions today....has anyone else heard from the admissions director via email or telephone today?

Hey @fnpmh79! I too am in this batch of people. I had my interview 3 weeks ago and was initially told I would receive a decision in 1-2 weeks. After 2 weeks of no notification I reached out, and Diane told me that I should have an answer by today. But, it’s 6pm EST and I haven’t heard a thing...

Hello! I received my financial aid package the other day and was wondering if anyone knows how to apply for a Grad Plus Loan?

I know this one! I asked the financial aid department this exact question during their zoom office hours as I did not want to miss applying after I received my financial aid package. What I was told was that in the early July time frame, they will send an email with the online application for GradPlus Loans for those who wish to apply. It is submitted online via the financial aid department at that time so we can't do it until the loan application opens.  It has to be done within so many weeks/months of school beginning both so they have accurate numbers/amounts for how much can be given via this loan based on estimate of school cost (factoring in any other loan package you receive) plus they want the most accurate credit report as this loan does run a credit check. I plan to check in with the financial aid office around May/June, anyway! Hope that is helpful!

Ah that makes a lot of sense! I tried going through the general application on studentaid.gov but received a message that UMMS didn't participate in the general application. Thanks so much for the thorough response! ?
