UMass Worcester GEP 2017

Published

Hi everyone!

Since application season is in full-swing, I thought I'd start a forum for those of us applying to the UMass GEP Program for fall 2017. I'm applying to the family specialty! Best of luck everyone!

Hi! Just wondering what everyones time frame was from submitting the application to getting an interview? Is it based on a rolling bases?

I think for me it was less than weeks. It felt like a week later I got the call.

Hi!

Thread moved to NP students for best response.

Hello all!

Wow, congratulations on your acceptances! I just had my interview last Thursday for a position in the FNP track and was told I should know about the school's decision by the first week of December. I'm very excited and nervous to hear the results.

Thank you for starting the thread! It's nice to keep in touch with fellow applicants. :geek: Hopefully I will join the ranks soon.

Congrats on getting the hardest part out! Good luck!

Did they contact you guys for an interview through email or a phone call? I hope I hear soon!!

Phonecall!

I got an email and a skype interview since I'm in Hawaii and am 6 hours behind. Thank goodness for UMass' forethought there. They seemed to really know what they were doing.

Did you receive a decision yet?

I like the the staff and the environment at UMass a lot. I was very impressed with the new building that the school is in!

Submitted my application a few days ago! Congrats to everyone already accepted, you're all incredible :)

Didn't realize they accepted prior to the deadline! Hopefully there is still room in the FNP track! From what I read on their FAQ, there are 32 spots total all specialties combined?

This makes me think there are around 10 spots per track, maybe a couple extra for FNP?

On the webinar, they said they are looking at 36 spots this year so a little more I suppose. Good luck! They are quick and responsive once your app is in which is very cool!

I just heard back that I have an interview. Those of you who already did yours--any tips or thoughts in hindsight? What kind of questions did they ask? Thank you!
