Hi everyone! I didn't see a post for UMB's ABSN Summer 2020 program, so I figured I'd start one! Feel free to share your GPA/TEAS info. Maybe we can help each other out with any questions that come up! Good luck with applications everyone!

Hi! I plan on applying as well. My undergrad GPA is a 3.45, and my prereq GPA is a 3.65. I will finish my MPH in the spring and currently have a 3.97 GPA. I have CNA experience and experience working with patients in a community health center, and I got an 88 on the TEAS. I'm really hoping to get in!
hey @mjk7464! From what I've read from previous years, you seem like a super strong applicant. I myself got an 87 on the TEAS and was a bit disappointed because I had been scoring in the 90s on my practice tests. Hoping my 3.8 undergrad GPA and 3.825 pre-req GPA will be enough to get me in! Good luck ?
Thanks! You too!
I also have a few years of volunteer experience in Boston hospitals.
I wish we could submit a resume:(
Are you applying to any other Boston programs?
Not yet... waiting to hear from UMB before I decide on other applications. Mostly due to financial reasons/UMB being by far the cheapest in Boston

Does anyone know what format this program is? One of the pages I looked at on the site was saying it's online and 12 months long, yet when I called the school I was getting conflicting answers and was bounced from voicemail to voicemail. I am applying to Umass Dartmouth's ABSN program, because it's closer to me and its hybrid, but it is roughly 17 months. I hate commuting to Boston but if it's a hybrid 12 month program it might be worth it.
Hey @Jnap080815! It’s a 12 month program, with all didactic coursework (lectures) online. This will be their first class with the new format! I wonder if they’ll have options for placements so maybe your drive to the hospital wouldn’t be so bad?
@afors23 did you find that out at an info session, or is there someone I can contact with questions? I just stumbled upon this a couple of days ago and haven't seen much information to go on.
Yep. I attended an Info session which was super clarifying. I would recommend going to one if you can, or calling the ABSN program!
Thanks! I'll definitely attend one, because neither admissions nor the nursing department had any answers for me, in fact they didn't even know that that page was up.
Figured I'd update you guys! Officially sent in all my application materials today! Waiting on my last letter of rec to be submitted, but for now it's a waiting game! Good luck to everyone who decides to apply ?
Hi everyone! I called admissions yesterday and they said they'll be reviewing applications on Thursday. She also let me know notifications would be via email and through the portal, and likely wouldn't be sent out until after the holidays. So nervous!!!
