Hello,
I am starting this forum for the UMass Amherst 2020 Spring start. Has anyone else finished their application yet?
I have a 3.06 cumulative GPA and a 3.21 GPA from the school I graduated with my bachelors from.
We are supposed to recieve admissions decisions in March 2020 but I hope they dont make us wait that long.
@gabstet610 Of course! My Bachelor’s degree is in Marketing from Assumption College 15+ years ago. My overall GPA there wasn’t great! I want to say barely 3.0. My prereq GPA was 3.5. I took all my prereqs between 2017-2018. I had taken Statistics nearly 20 years ago but I retook it to get a better grade, knowing they were going to look more closely at my prereq GPA than my GPA from my first degree. I had virtually zero experience in any kind of health sciences until I took my prereqs. This past year I became a CNA. I updated my resume, rewrote my essay to include clinical experience, and one of my instructors (an RN) provided me with a recommendation. I had used a former employer last year. I just received my acceptance in the mail today for those still waiting. It’s excruciating to wait another month to find out the waitlist outcome, but try to stay positive. Hope this helps.
@33b_r_i_a_n_n_a33 Did you do your undergrad at umass ?
Because mine looks like this. And I replied to Dee to keep me on the list. And didn't get a response back
@33b_r_i_a_n_n_a33 @Hendrixchick
guys if you don't mind me asking what were your GPA's and experience. Just trying to see why we were wait listed.
@33b_r_i_a_n_n_a33 I figured she would be over whelmed after this week. You just never know with emails, it could get "lost" or what ever. Hopefully we find out quick if we got in or not. I wonder how many are on the list, and wanted to stay on it.

oh yeah, my kids will be in full time care but I have an hour commute so I am assuming if we have to be in class at 8am 3 days a week for example I will have to hire someone to help get them to school (my husband cant do it).
