UM ABSN Summer 2016

Submitted my application for the University of Miami Accelerated BSN program a few days ago. Haven't received anything directly from the school yet. Anyone else out there apply?

Hey everyone! I also accepted my offer to Miami and am from California. I found out through canelink as well as a letter in the mail. I am looking forward to meeting you all. Also, does anyone know if they recommend living on-campus? Also, is it doable not having a car there?

Surfergirl9 I am a resident here in miami and I am going to have to say it is not doable without a car. We don't have very good public transportation and unless you want to ride in an uber everywhere you need wheels. Miami is pretty spread out and although our traffic is known for being pretty awful you cant get many places on bike or walking without going long distances or almost getting hit by cars. Congratulations on your acceptance!

BuenosDiaz, I haven't heard anything and my application still says incomplete on canelink. I think I'm going to call on Friday if nothing has changed and ask them abaout it. What do you think?

Stefsteph, I'd say call Friday if nothing and try not to get discouraged, the waiting game is tough but hopefully you'll hear soon. Please keep us updated!!

Pittybullmom! My friend is still waiting to hear back and wanted me to ask if you got your acceptance through the mail or through cane link? Also how long after your application read complete did you get an answer? She doesn't have an account but really appreciates any information you have!

I got an email saying that my decision was made and to check canelink. When I logged on my cane link I went to student center and in student center it said I had two communications in the communication center, 1 being my acceptance letter. I think you also get a package in the mail regarding everything. My "canelink" application still says incomplete and I got accepted. When I called last week, the admissions worker told me you will definitely have an answer by the end of the month. She also told me not to worry about the "incomplete" status and if nursing cas has everything verified you're fine. If your friend is still concerned I would recommend to call admissions and see what they have to say.

BuenosDiaz, My application status did change today from incomplete to complete. Finally! Hopefully I find something out soon! Thanks for the tip!
