  1. I have also heard to stay in between Ashburn and DC. Does anyone have any specific recommendations for living, such as apartment names or things like that?
  2. Hey @wheresyec! Is there public transportation between DC and Ashburn that runs on the weekend. I noticed the GWU shuttles only run during the week and I'll be there during a weekend and didn't want to have to rent a car. Thank You!
  3. Hello, I just found this thread, I was also accepted! Congrats Everyone!! I will be coming from Texas and I did submit my application for the Washington Squared Program. I think I am going to sign up for the latter interview date. I am having trouble deciding what I want to do with this acceptance, from what I've heard it is expensive the live in the area on top of the private school tuition costs and the W2 program is hard to get into. I feel like there is not very much information about the program online so if anyone has any recommendations about living and the program in general, I am all ears!
  4. Hi! Gummycoco, I'm new to this site so I'm not sure if I am doing this right but I have a few questions. I just got accepted today for the ABSN Spring 2017 start date. I am from Texas so I am literally clueless about the area and the school. Is the cost worth the education you receive? I am not part of the military so I don't have that help, I will have to get a personal loan of some sort to cover the costs. My next question is living costs. I know it is more expensive but is it easy to find roommates or is that kind of a struggle? Do you feel prepared to be a nurse at the end of this program? What are the academics and clinical like? Any other information you can give me is greatly appreciated! Thank You! -Stefanie
  5. I also haven't heard anything yet. From the past posts it looked like everything happen on Friday's I think it said every other Friday they meet and make admission decisions so hopefully this Friday some people hear something!
  6. BuenosDiaz, My application status did change today from incomplete to complete. Finally! Hopefully I find something out soon! Thanks for the tip!
  7. Thank You all for your advice and other options to consider!
  8. BuenosDiaz, I haven't heard anything and my application still says incomplete on canelink. I think I'm going to call on Friday if nothing has changed and ask them abaout it. What do you think?
  9. Thank you so much for your help! I went back and looked at last summer's post and hopefully I don't have to wait that long. Fingers crossed!
  10. Congrats tks79!! Do you mind if I ask how you found out via Canelink? Did you go to the application status portion? I applied pretty much as the deadline so I am still waiting but they said I would know by the end of the month and it is now the end of the month. I hate the waiting period. Thank you for any guidance.
  11. Hello, I am considering moving for nursing school. I live in Texas now and I already hold a bachelors in a different field, so I am trying to get into an accelerated program. With that being said, those programs are very competitive and I am thinking about applying to other programs besides the few Texas ones offered. Any advise you can give a girl that's 26, just trying to start nursing school already would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!
