UM ABSN SPRING 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi guys!

I'm currently completing my undergrad+prereqs to apply in the next year to UM's ABSN program for the Spring 2019 session (Apps due next august). I know it's a very premature thread but I thought there might be other applicants for the Spring 2019 session who are already freaking out about apps like me. If any students who were accepted for previous threads could share their experience, tips, or stats here that would be incredibly helpful.

We got this.

Hi trulydiaz,

Mine also showed incomplete after I paid. I think it because they did not receive my other deposit by mail. Don't worry about that. I am sure if we pay the deposit and return the certification of admission on time, it should be no problem.

Hey guys,

I have a 3.1 Cum GPA and a 3.0 Pre Req GPA with 1 prereq( Micro)pending.. DO you think that my chances of getting in are good? Does anyone know people who have been admitted with 3.0 stats?

Hi, asialy,

I think you should apply. You will never know if you can get in or not.I read from the previous post that some people get in with 3.0 GPA. "Because if you take a risk, you just might find what you're looking for." Susane Colasanti, Take Me There

biochem is right! you never know, tbh i feel like anyone who meets requirements will get in. good luck girl

hey biochem, did you put your '5#' on your check you made payable to the school (the 'for', across from where you sign) i wasn't really sure what to put in order for them to know it's my check

Hey Trudydiaz, I did put my 5# on my check. I figured that was the best way for them to know it was me!

Hi trudydiaz,

I have my name on the check.

Hey Guys!

I submitted my application on 6/25 and was verified today 7/17. Does anyone know how long it might take before I hear back or even if there's a chance that I'll be included in the next batch of decisions? Thanks in advance :)

future nurse jessie, applications are not due until august 1, so even if you are not in the batch you will hear back from them soon no doubt about it

i know this is early guys, but any one know how we can get a live scan for background check? i know it's still early but non-florida residents have to obtain it from the state of florida. in CA there is actually an easy-to-find and self explanantory link in order to get a live scan for background checks, but i can't find much for getting it in FL. need help future cohort

Hey Trudy I don't have an answer for you exactly, but I recommend adding yourself to the facebook group and posting this question on there. I believe there are students who were accepted a while back from out of state who may have already done their background check and can help answer your question on the FB page.
