Hello everyone, I hope someone can help. I am needing to have a face to face discussion with a UK registered nurse. I have written my 5 essays and need to reflectively discuss them with someone, in order to complete my revalidation. All of my school mates and nurse friends have retired. I have been practicing in the USA for almost 30 years. I have maintained my UK license all this time as you never know what the future holds. I would like to continue, if possible. Please let me know if anyone can help with this. I would love to reciprocate and discuss your essays too. Probably the easiest way of doing this would be a messenger phone call, followed by an email of the completed form. Thanks

I let my UK registration lapse last year and frankly, used to find the revalidation process infantile, demeaning and without purpose. Not to mention their fee extortionate.
I've been gone 23 years and kept the same "you never know" attitude as you but frankly, I've known deep down for many years I was never going to want to work in the UK ever again. I now regret the years of wasting money on outlandishly expensive fees to such a useless organisation. I now pay just 35€ (£29,76 sterling or $38 US) every year to stay registered in France. For that I get far more back in terms of info and updates, access to free seminars etc. than I ever did from the UKCC. And no revalidation process - instead they trust nurse managers to be doing their jobs properly.
