I think the best thing would be either check out the job opportunities on http://www.nursingtimes.net or hospitals in the areas you want to live and see whether they are willing to help you with job and work permit. The process would be long as the hospitals need to prove to immigration that the job can not be given to someone from the UK or EU

nursingbebe 3 Posts May 21, 2007 Where do you want to live?Hi SueIP.I've got friends living in the West Yorkshire area so I prefer to live there but if nursing job opportunities there are scarce, I'd be willing to live anywhere in UK. Thanks very much.

May 21, 2007 I dont know that area very well... the best thing to do is research that area and approach the hospitals...or as Anna has said look in the nursing times for jobs....you may need to go elsewhere so you need to be open about where you want to live...good luck

I assume that this is when you will work as a unqualified whilst working through your competencies. I know that my trust is not employing and am sure that with the current state fo the NHS this is true throughout the country.
