Hi folks!, I'm new here. Please can you give some info and advice? My husband and I are presently in Canada. I'm a working as a nurse here in Canada but we're thinking of going back to UK. At the same time, we are planning now to have a baby. I'm just concern that if I get pregnant here in Canada and when I start working in my new job in the UK, that my maternity leave would be pro-rated? Or will I still get the full maternity leave? Our other option is to delay having a family until I start working in the UK. Please any advice is highly appreciated. Cheers

I believe if you work more than 26 weeks in the Uk you would be entitled to full maternity pay. Which is fantastic now compared to some countries I believe there are other countries in Europe where the maternity pay is a 1 year now.
thanks very much Silverdragon102 & madwife2002 for the infos
