hi i have the problem of qualifying as a RN after the training has changed, meaning i dont have the practical or theory hours in mental paeds or maternity .I didnt realise there was such a problem until i looked at few threads on this site .I started the process with with cgfns about 3 months ago .my transcripts have been (ready for review) for about 8 weeks now so iam not really sure whats going on there.I am just after a bit of advice where to go from here

1. Where can i go to get the relevant hours to overcome this problem

2.Can i still take the nclex exam in the mean time

I feel iam jumping the gun here but i suppose its better to be ready for cgfns to come back and say i havent the

required hours in the above field, this is very frustrating because iam more than aware of retrogression but i didnt expect to fall down at the first hurdle any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

The state will not give eligibility to sit NCLEX if you do not meet requirements and not having enough hours both clinical and theory will mean you do not meet requirements however I would say wait for reply from the state once they get your CES report. If you are short on hours then it is a case of looking for somewhere to do the hours and there isn't many places if any in the UK that you can do this
