UIW/UTHSC - Fall 2018 TX (LOW GPA? STATS)

Hi everyone. Is there anybody here who is applying to UIW nursing school and UTHSC San Antonio/Houston area? Im planning to apply to their nursing school this month of December once the semester is over and hopefully get admitted during fall. However, my GPA isn't the greatest and I've re taken classes which I didnt do well also.

What are yall's Stats? and how did you guys do on the TEAS and HESI test?

Someone on on of the forums called and asked UTHSCSA and they told her April 1st

I called twice and both times I was told April 1st, I am pretty sure it will be before then though.

ggranado, from my understanding not everyone gets an interview especially uiw students. I know two people in the nursing program now who attended UIW before and didn't get an interview.

Yes I spoke to the department at my school and that information was relayed to me also! I'm so nervous! I just want to find out already!! I was in the same vote as you I was pre med! But then I'm just graduating with a biology degree from uiw and applying to uiw nursing for my second defree

They recently changed the whole interview process due to the the new curriculum they started in the fall of 2017. They now interview some people & usually people who had really good TEAS scores & GPAs don't get interview & are the 1st round of applicants to get accepted

Yea I go to school there so I have known about there curriculum change and the interviews! Goodluck to you! I haven't gotten an interview, I have a 3.6 gpa

I just called and she wouldn't give me a specific day. She just said this week before spring break we will find out.

I had an interview last Tuesday. Just called and she said that we will for sure know by this Friday..
